That would be "Coach Clayton Blue" to you, sir.
-
I have always thought we referred to that as "Clayton Blue". No? Didn't he change it?

Probably the AP poll. I was told by the person designated to run the AP poll this year that it should be out this week. -

Mater Dei (-28.5) Jasper Washington (+17.5) Gibson Southern (-31.5) North Knox Tecumseh (-2.5) Boonville (-16.5) Sullivan Vincennes Indy Lutheran (-6.5) -
True words.

If they beat Laville maybe they’ll jump to #2. That way we have a #1 vs #2 in week 4
-
Caston over NM 42-21... Suspect the Culver/Triton game to be a close one.

Wabash River Conference Week 3

Panthers' JV squad are usually the ones doing the scoring in the 4th quarter. Anyways, Week 3 Picks... Fountain Central @ Riverton Parke - Mustangs took it on the chin up at Crawfordsville. The Panthers are not Crawfordsville. I think Sagarin needs some tweeking. It is going to be a very emotional night Friday in Mecca. Panthers win by at least 30 North Vermillion @ Covington - Well, I guess I had the Trojans wrong last week. I'm still scratching my head about that one. The Falcons, however, have a long way to go, but they always seem to give Covington some fits. This one is closer than expected. 28-18 Seeger @ Attica - Patriots looked pretty decent, chucking it everywhere. Ramblers also got a nice win. I just don't think they match up with Seeger very well. 42-12 South Vermillions @ Parke Heritage - Visor Jr's got humbled after being up at Sullivan early. Do the Woolfs play any away games? I think this is three in a row in Rockville. I don't think it will matter where this played. PH will wear down the still young Visor Jr's. 34-14 -
Caston at NM - give me NM in a close one. 30-28. Culver at Triton - Triton over Culver 28-24. North Judson at SC - North Judson over SC. 60-12. Winamac at Pioneer - Pioneer over Winamac. 35-21.

Probably need a better picture of the "paw" on a North helmet...if anyone can send us a good side hemlet image that would be great.

What's that nonsense Tecumseh has behind the T? Are they the flaming Ts? ETA: What's with all these teams changing from royal blue to navy blue? Heritage Hills first did it with football a long time ago, then other sports at HH followed. Now it seems Tecumseh is getting away from its royal blue roots.

They're excellent later on, no doubt.

Fountain Centrals doesn’t have a JV after a 4 year rebuild -
I just posted in another thread: This early in the season, the computer ratings are not reliable. I have all the actual game results since 1999. Sagarin reaches peak accuracy after 4-5 games. Then it starts predicting over 80-percent correctly (88% correct since 1999).

I know you're just passing along info.... but Sagarin polls aren't too good for a while.

Can't forget those JV touchdowns in the 4th quarter to kill the spread! -
If implemented in the late 90s, Roncalli would've gone to 4A first (in 2000) -- Zionsville might have already been 4A, then Heritage Hills in 2002, then Chatard in (2003)... Those Chatard-Roncalli sectional matchups in 4A would've likely prevented both from going to 5A (the largest class at the time). Reitz and East Central could've ended up in 5A in the mid-2000s.

Itll be 19 points after the first 8 minutes -
Yes past performance does factor into Sagarin ratings. Strength-of-schedule, margin-of-victory, opponents' strength-of-schedule, etc...
-
37 points is huge... 14.5 points makes you get more than two TDs... bettors would love it. This early in the season, the computer ratings are not reliable. I have all the actual game results since 1999. Sagarin reaches peak accuracy after 4-5 games. Then it starts predicting over 80-percent correctly (88% correct since 1999).
