  1. Today
  2. With all the athleticism on the team now, this was a critical pick up.
  3. Be nice to see those when they come out. Knew classes at least. Ohio just announced divisions & regions yesterday. Once we know Indiana sectionals, we can see where our Stateline teams are all assigned.
  4. Apparently there will be underground parking. Of course it will be limited and make tailgating impossible. I had suite tickets 2 years ago for the Lions game that came with an underground spot north of the stadium between Soldier Field and the Field Museum. It sucked. Felt like I was going to a mall and not a sporting event.
  5. Elkhart doesn't lack talent, it lacks direction from what I am hearing.
  6. I try to do my best for my fellow bretheren down here please continue to associate me with this place, someone will get very happy.
  7. I hope that is an attempt at comedy Muda....I am going to give you credit that was the intent.....
  8. I literally heard an opinion on this directly from Coach Sharpe himself. It was very...... ....."colorful"😇
  9. Setting such a fine, outstanding example to the Gibson Southern youth. The late Mr. Adams must be turning over his grave at such behavior, and on the topic of this forum thread.
  10. Remember when DeSantis was on the committee and Bremen went one way and Jimtown was sent to Fort Wayne for sectionals?
  11. Interesting back stories. Thanks. Those damn cheatin' publics... LOL You have any insight on the NIL and transfer topics that were evidently discussed?
  12. Of course I am it's nearly 2pm on a friday But I dont see how that's relevant
  13. Brewer has proposed this rule before, and continues to propose it because Yorktown volleyball can’t win state in 4A. The entire reason for this is so their volleyball team can get moved back to 3A and win state again. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like the proposal is getting much support. Similar results to the polling occurred at other spring principals meetings. In my opinion, the point total to stay up was appropriate at 2 points per cycle. If your team is good enough to win 2 sectionals or 1 regional in a class above your enrollment, you are good enough to stay up. The change that was made for this year was not necessary in my opinion. It was proposed by Jeff Doyle from Barr-Reeve, who is an executive committee member, and was again motivated by a successful volleyball program. The position on the executive committee should be a good indication of how it got approved.
  14. Mike was a very good coach and a great man. I am happy to have known him.
  15. To be fair you guys wouldn't want to talk football to much either If you had to tell people you were A hot dogs fan
  16. Side note, how about they change that format again. Make the current regional be called "district" and the 1st semi state as the regional. Then do a final 4 weekend of semi state & state for hoops.
  17. Can't imagine this would ever pass. I was pretty surprised it went from 3 to 2 to stay up before this school year. Off topic, but I heard at the meeting down here they took straw poll votes on a number of topics to gauge the pulse - NIL, 1 time transfer with full eligibility, unlimited transfers with full eligibility, etc.
  18. This is Indiana? A sniper on the rooftop of the IU Student Union, watching some kind of protest going on.
  19. I agree. Catholic school tuition is high value compared to the cost. What other sports do your kids play? I wasn't aware BC had won state recently in anything but football.
  20. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2024/04/26/girls-wrestling-boys-volleyball-proposed-as-recognized-sports-by-ihsaa/73438427007/ FTA Stacey Brewer, the principal at Yorktown, submitted a proposal to address the change that has been made to the one-game regional and two-game semistate and how it relates to the tournament success factor. As it stands, if a school is moved up a class via the tournament success factor, it must earn three points (a regional championship is worth two points, a sectional one) during a two-year period to stay up (that was changed from two points last year). Under Brewer’s proposal, another point would be added, meaning a school would have to accumulate four points during a two-year period to remain up a class. The straw poll at Plainfield showed just 15 in favor and 52 opposed to that change. (my emphasis) Thoughts? The 1 Game Regional, 2 Game Semistate, comment applies to basketball only? Doesn't look like it got much traction, but seems to be a desire by some to make it "harder" for teams to "stay up"?
  21. I know that it was a different time back in the days when you would "see stars". I remember the old AD at Tech, Frank Craig, telling me about his first meeting with my father at Indiana Central back in the 50's. Apparently, my dad knocked him out cold in practice making a hit. He said that when he came to that my dad was standing over him saying, "Freshman, are you ok? You alright?" He said that always stuck with him that my dad was so concerned about him. Football used to be different! Not saying it was better either. It's probably good that we pay attention to, you know, brain science.
  22. It may sound like hyperbole, but Seriously, anyone that still believes President Biden was able to garner the most votes of any President in history really needs to have their head examined. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13350787/x-users-construction-worker-biden-video.html One of the hundreds of construction workers who turned out to support Donald Trump in New York has captured the heart of the nation with his savage takedown of Joe Biden. The unknown worker had been part of the crowds gathered as the former president made a visit to a construction site in Midtown Manhattan on Thursday morning. Crowds of construction workers and supporters lined up through the night as they anxiously waited to catch a glimpse of their beloved former president in what is normally Liberal heartland. After Trump left the site one construction worker was asked by a Newsmax reporter: 'What's it like seeing so many Republicans in Manhattan, so many Trump supporters in Manhattan. Does that surprise you?' The man, dressed ready for work, didn't hesitate. 'No, not at all. It's turning now. It's Trump's turn again.' He was then asked for his message to Joe Biden. Without missing a beat, he quipped: 'F**k you.'
