  2. Know what you mean. Retired from youth coaching back around 2020 when COVID wiped out the season. I realized that COVID was just the catalyst when I attended an LCC scrimmage with Harrison a couple of years later and I'm going down the LCC varsity roster looking at all the kids that I had coached in the youth program that were playing varsity. I then looked at the coaching staff and realized that four of their coaches were kids that I had coached in the youth program. Was definitely time for me to pass the reins with or without COVID.

  4. I think this song represents Temp's relationship with Bobref.........
  5. There’s definitely a history of some pretty bad postseason performances in big games. 2022 State championship against Mater Dei and 2020 Regional against Pioneer come to mind recently. A lot more if you wanna go back through the Mason era.
  6. Yes, his son. And then there is his daughter who is breaking track records in 7th grade.
  7. The closest drive being 1 hour and 20 minutes. That makes for some late nights through the week.
  8. Admittedly, I wrote Andrean and Hanover a bit too early, not intended.
  9. Thanks! I've finally reached the age where guys I watched at Purdue now have kids playing HS football.
  10. That Belleville game was electrifying from what I remembered about it
  11. I tend to agree with some caveats. Most of those wins were against really weak opponents in Greater South Shore Conference. Impressed with their performance and results in 1st year of NCC which was arguably down last year. Playoff performance needs to improve. HC is a great addition to NCC.
  12. Not to mention NCC Conference Champs in year 1 in the League. Jury needs to wrap it up in there by the sounds of it. 😂
  13. 42-7 over the past 4 seasons. That’s a pretty tough jury.
  14. Yes he was. Such a shame I've only seen him "virtually" or via stream/ archived film. Would've loved to be old enough and "wise enough" to have watched him through my current lens when he was at 5959 Broadway.
  15. All Time Jeff George was an amazing passer with a big arm but the 2 that most impressed me were James Banks and Rick Mirer. Those 2 did everything. Throw, Run, Play Defense, Punt, and Kick. The 2 most dominate players I ever saw. Summer of 89 I went down to see my nephew play in the All Star game back when the Div. 1 kids still played in it. Game was played in the old Hoosier Dome. All the reporters were saying how dominate the South team would be especially with their defense and that it would be a big blow out for the South. Well it was a big blow out as Mirer and the North team put up 41 first half points. I saw James Banks in punt formation chase down a bad snap over his head that went in to his own end zone. He picked up and ran through the whole Warren Central defense for a touchdown. Most amazing play I ever saw in high school football.
  16. Interesting. Albert Breer has a weekly segment on Kap & J.Hood and Kaplan had reported in the past few months some of what was listing in Breer's SI article: The Head of Scouting and West Coast scout told Poles he needed to get out to LA and he'd find out the smoke around Williams was BS Poles instructed all scouts interacting with Oklahoma, USC or DC bred players to find out what they knew about Williams and everything they heard was positive Kingsbury told Poles that Williams' dad was only seen once at USC facilities and he's not a distraction The Bears learned that Williams was loved by his teammates at OU and USC Williams has a very high football IQ Off topic, but it's still wild to think all of this started because Lovie won the last game of the year in Indy.

  18. Although Hobart and Andrean have been good, Highland, Lowell, and Munster are spinning their wheels. Jury's out on Hanover and KV.
  19. Not good. Plus, you must remember this would be for all sorts, not just football.
  20. Didn't know Indiana had so many Ukrainian born residents.
  21. West to east Indy traffic can be brutal. East to west isn't nearly as bad. 😉
  22. If Speedway refuses to travel to Lutheran for JV games, what are the odds they'd entertain trips to Linton?
