  1. Right from the rule book. “b. Jersey: 1. A jersey, unaltered from the manufacturer’s original design/production, and which shall be long enough to reach the top of the pants and shall be tucked in if longer. It must completely cover the shoulder pads and all pads worn above the waist on the torso. 2. Players of the visiting team shall wear jerseys, unaltered from the manufacturer’s original design/production, that meet the following criteria: The body of the jersey (inside the shoulders, inclusive of the yoke of the jersey or the shoulders, below the collar, and to the bottom of the jersey) shall be white and shall contain only the listed allowable adornments and accessory patterns in a color(s) that contrasts to white: (a) as the jersey number(s) required in 1-5-1c or as the school’s nickname, school logo, school name and/or player name within the body and/or on the shoulders, (b) either as a decorative stripe placed during production that follows the curve of the raglan sleeve or following the shoulder seam in traditional yoke construction, not to exceed 1 inch at any point within the body of the jersey; or as decorative stripe(s) added in the shoulder area after production, not to exceed 1” inch per stripe and total size of combined stripes not to exceed 3.5 inches, (c) within the collar, a maximum of 1 inch in width, and/or (d) as a side seam (insert connecting the back of the jersey to the front), a maximum of 4 inches in width but any non-white color may not appear within the body of the jersey (inside the shoulders, inclusive of the yoke of the jersey or the shoulders, below the collar, and to the bottom of the jersey). The exception to (d) would be what is stated in (b) above. (e) The visiting team is responsible for avoidance of similarity of colors, but if there is doubt, the referee may require players of the home team to change jerseys. NOTE: One American flag, not to exceed 2 inches by 3 inches, may be worn or occupy space on each item of uniform apparel. By state association adoption, to allow for special occasions, commemorative or memorial patches, not to exceed 4 square inches, may be worn on the uniform without compromising its integrity. 3. Players of the home team shall wear jerseys, unaltered from the manufacturer’s original design/production, that meet the following criteria: The body of the jersey (inside the shoulders, inclusive of the yoke of the jersey or the shoulders, below the collar, and to the bottom of the jersey) may not include white, except as stated below. Effective 2021, the jerseys of the home team shall be a dark color that clearly contrasts to white. If white appears in the body of the jersey of the home team, it may only appear: (a) as the jersey number(s) required in 1-5-1c or as the school’s nickname, school logo, school name and/or player name within the body and/or on the shoulders, (b) either as a decorative stripe placed during production that follows the curve of the raglan sleeve or following the shoulder seam in traditional yoke construction, not to exceed 1 inch at any point within the body of the jersey; or as decorative stripe(s) added in the shoulder area after production, not to exceed 1 inch per stripe and total size of combined stripes not to exceed 3.5 inches, (c) within the collar, a maximum of 1 inch in width, and/or (d) as a side seam (insert connecting the back of the jersey to the front), a maximum of 4 inches in width but any white color may not appear within the body of the jersey (inside the shoulders, inclusive of the yoke of the jersey or the shoulders, below the collar, and to the bottom of the jersey). By state association adoption, to allow for special occasions, commemorative or memorial patches, not to exceed 4 square inches, may be worn on the uniform without compromising its integrity. c. Numbers 1. The numbers shall be clearly visible and legible using Arabic numbers 1-99 inclusive and shall be on the front and back of the jersey. 2. The numbers, inclusive of any border(s), shall be centered horizontally at least 8 inches and 10 inches high on front and back, respectively. 3. The entire body of the number (the continuous horizontal bars and vertical strokes) exclusive of any border(s) shall be approximately 1½-inches wide. 4. The color and style of the number shall be the same on the front and back. 5. Through the 2023 season, the body of the number (the continuous horizontal bars and vertical strokes) shall be either: (a) a continuous color(s) contrasting with the jersey color; or (b) the same solid color(s) as the jersey with a minimum of one border that is at least ¼-inch in width of a single solid contrasting color. 6. Effective with the 2024 season, the entire body of the number (the continuous horizontal bars and vertical strokes) shall be a single solid color that clearly contrasts with the body color of the jersey.”

  2. I know this is a football forum - but just wanted to give a shout-out to the Southridge senior class on their 3rd straight (COVID knocked out what could have been a 4 for 4 peat for them) baseball sectional, this one in 3A after being bumped up. This senior class, in their time in the hallways, has brought an incredible 8 sectional championships in a possible 11 tries in the "big 3" sports. (Football, basketball, and baseball). Dating back to their freshman years, they have went 3 for 4 in football sectionals (2017, 2018, and 2020) 2 for 4 in basketball sectionals (2017 & 2021) 3 for 3 in baseball (2018, 2019, & 2021) Obviously an accomplishment like this doesn't come from just them, as they were surrounded by awesome classes in their own right - but still- a run like that I may never see again in my coaching career. Kuddos to them.

  4. With the Sectional of Death, I'm thinking WeBo got the more "interesting" placement in that deal. At least Chatard will be absent during the festivities.

  5. I'm not. IMHO Bobref answered it quite succinctly. After all he is much smarter than both your or I.

  6. You’re assuming GCA doesn’t have a plan then I take it? I don’t think anyone expects GCA to win state in their inaugural year, but they’re in a prime location to draw some serious talent in the event they do go the football route.

  8. https://nypost.com/2021/05/31/hunter-bidens-laptop-keeps-damning-joe-but-most-media-just-ignore-it/ Hunter Biden’s laptop continues to yield damning information that shows his dad, President Joe Biden, played a significant and knowing role in his son’s sleazy influence-peddling. And while the media efforts to pretend these revelations are nothing but “Russian disinformation” have ceased, The Post’s scoops still get ignored by outlets that would be all over them if they were about the Trump family. The latest, of course, is the photographic evidence that then-Veep Joe attended an April 16, 2015, dinner with shady Ukrainian, Russian and Kazakh “businessmen” and even posed for photos with the unseemly guests. To put some face-saving cover on the event in the private “Garden Room” at Café Milano, a posh Georgetown eatery (“Where the world’s most powerful people go,” run its promos), Hunter billed it as “ostensibly to discuss food security,” as he emailed one guest, and invited several officials from the World Food Program. But the beards were outnumbered by the likes of corrupt former Moscow mayor Yury Luzhkov (hubby of Russian billionaire Yelena Baturina, who’d paid one of Hunter’s firms $3.5 million the year before), Kazakh oligarch Kenes Rakishev, Karim Massimov, a former prime minister of Kazakhstan, and Vadym Pozharskyi, an executive of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma. The photo of the then-veep and Hunter smiling with the two Kazakhs, clearly shot at Café Milano, isn’t the only proof Joe actually attended the dinner: Pozharskyi emailed Hunter the next day, “Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. … It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure.” So much for any claim that Joe never met with Burisma officials even as he was Team Obama’s point man on Ukraine, a role he used to demand the ouster of a prosecutor who was looking into the firm. Burisma was then paying Hunter (who had zero energy expertise) $83,333 a month to sit on its board. Another email from the laptop reveals that Burisma cut Hunter’s pay in half in March 2017 — right after Joe became a private citizen, another clear sign of what actually qualified the Biden scion for such vast payouts. Face time with a vice president, and the ability to brag about what you talked about over dinner, is worth a lot to global sleazoids. So are smiling photos that imply a relationship and pull at the highest reaches of US government. Another sign of Joe’s collusion in Hunter’s unseemly work: The then-veep hired an aide away from one of his son’s firms in 2014, and she then proceeded to keep her old bosses informed on visiting dignitaries and official events that might interest them. Oh, and the Bidens have never themselves denied the laptop was Hunter’s before he abandoned it, nor denied the accuracy of its contents. The president and his camp have simply offered vague assurances that Joe Biden himself never did anything wrong. Without doubt, if Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner or so on had been caught playing such games, it’d get nonstop coverage on MSNBC, and the Washington Post and the New York Times would have full investigative teams following up for months. Hunter’s merchandizing of his last name wasn’t even anything new: The Biden family has been trading on Joe Biden’s high offices for decades, making millions off their presumed influence and access. Yet somehow news about it all is never “fit to print,” even though “democracy dies in darkness.” Yeahbut - There's nothing wrong here.......They aren't the Trumps.....

  9. I apologize if I missed this elsewhere, but is this just a one year alignment until a full enrollment can be performed? Looks to me like LCC just replaced Webo who also bumped up a class and everything else stayed pat. Pretty simple solution for a 1 year deal if its the case.

  10. https://nypost.com/2021/05/19/joe-biden-ripped-for-joking-about-running-over-reporter/ Biden ripped for joking about running over reporter who asked about Israel This joke really crashed. President Biden is being ripped for joking about running down a reporter rather than answer a question about the ongoing deadly conflict in Gaza. Biden made the questionable quip Tuesday from behind the wheel of the new F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck when a reporter asked if she could ask “a quick question on Israel … since it’s so important?” “No, you can’t,” Biden replied bluntly. “Not unless you get in front of the car as I step on it.” The car-loving commander-in-chief insisted he was “only teasing” — but still raced away on a Michigan race track rather than accept a question on the ongoing conflict. He was quickly ripped online, with many noting how his predecessor, President Donald Trump, was routinely savaged for his own jokes. Had this been the former President, the headline would have been "Trump threatens reporter".

  12. Columbus North and Chatard could beat either one of those teams. Might Male be favored? Sure. But they would be pretty good games. For instance, Cal Preps has Chatard over Male in 2019 (latest data set). Plus, East also plays Whiteland who is coming off of a 9-2 season and is a solid 5a program. Jeffersonville is set to play Bell County (KY). Bell County is a smaller school but is a perennial state power. New Albany plays Bloomington North and South. They also play Gibson Southern, which has been a top notch 3a program in Indiana over the last decade. FC will play a tough schedule. Good for them. It doesn't make it the best or toughest.

  13. https://reason.com/2021/06/01/the-bipartisan-war-on-work/ We are frankly becoming a country of lazy bums, content to suckle at the government teat for a subsistence existence, as long as the subsistence includes a cell phone, smart TV, and fast internet.

  15. So let's say Webo doesn't win a 3A sectional in 2021 or 2022. Will they go back down to 2A (assuming their enrollment would fall in line with that classification) in 2023 or are they in 3A for 3 seasons since they won't want to re-do sectionals again after 2022?
