  1. Everyone knows that Harris was elected as Vice President for no other reason than to reach out to the black vote. It certainly wasn't based on merit. Democrats voiced their opinion in the primary and she got utterly obliterated. In football terms, that's a halftime score of 50-0. And somehow she gets promoted to the Vice President of the United States. Votes matter more than the health of our country. Sad fact. Trump beat around the bush on that question, I wish he would have just plain said that she was only elected for the color of her skin. Because that's the truth. Now, there are many idiots who would claim that my comment is racist. So I'll also throw out there that Byron Donalds, Tim Scott, and Ben Carson are all more than qualified to hold the position of Vice President. It's not a black/white thing. It's a qualification thing. Among my very own peer group, Harris would be somewhere in the middle in terms of competence/intelligence. Yet here she is, with the right amount of money thrown at smear campaigns and lies about Trump, in a position to be the next President of the United States. If she wins (fairly), I won't pout like the Dems (mostly modern day fools in Hollywood) did and say childish things like, "she's not MY president," or "I'm moving to Canada." I'll continue to do my best, but sadly sit on the sidelines and watch the continuation of our country's downward spiral. I'll continue to work hard and save money to help stop the bleeding of my children's future.

  2. As we open the NFL season with the Hall of Fame game tonight, one of the more interesting things to look forward to is how teams attempt to utilize the new kickoff rules. Here’s what the rule provides, according to https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/rules-changes/new-dynamic-kickoff-rule-explainer/ DYNAMIC KICKOFF DETAILS Hear New Orleans Saints Special Teams Coordinator, Darren Rizzi break down the new rule. NFL clubs have approved a new kickoff rule for the 2024 season. The ball is kicked from the A35 yard line (same as current rule) Safety kicks would be from A20 yard line (same as current rule) ALIGNMENT All kicking team players other than the kicker will line up with one foot on the receiving team’s B40 yard line Kicker cannot cross the 50-yard line until ball touches the ground or player in landing zone or end zone The 10 kicking team players cannot move until the ball hits the ground or player in the landing zone or the end zone The receiving team will line up as follows: Setup Zone – a 5-yard area from the B35 to the B30 yard line where at least 9 receiving team players must line up At least 7 players with foot on the B35 yard line (restraining line) with alignment requirements (outside numbers, numbers to hashes, and inside hashes) Players not on the restraining line must be lined up in setup zone outside the hash marks All players in the setup zone cannot move until the kick has hit the ground or a player in the landing zone or the end zone A maximum of 2 returners may line up in the landing zone and can move at any time prior to, or during, the kick LANDING ZONE Landing zone is the area between the receiving team’s goal line and its 20-yard line. Any kick that hits short of the landing zone – treated like kickoff out of bounds and ball spotted at B40 yard line; play would be blown dead as soon as kick lands short of the landing zone Any kick that hits in the landing zone - must be returned Any kick that hits in the landing zone and then goes into the end zone – must be returned or downed by receiving team – if downed then touchback to B20 yard line Kick hits in end zone, stays inbounds - returned or downed – if downed then touchback to B30 yard line Any kick that goes out of the back of the end zone (in the air or bounces) – touchback to B30 yard line MISCELLANEOUS If conditions cause ball to fall off tee twice, then kicker will be allowed to use kicking stick to keep the ball in place. The closest covering official will pick up the stick immediately after the kick Onside kick: 4th quarter begins, the team trailing has the opportunity to declare an onside kick to the officials Current onside kickoff rules would apply. If onside kick goes beyond the setup zone untouched, kicking team penalized for UNS; return team would start the drive at the A20 yard line Penalties: The setup zone and landing zone will not change with any penalties that carry over to kickoffs. Alignment of 10 kickoff team players and all receiving team players would not change – only the spot of the kick would move Penalties on scoring plays will not carry over and will be taken on the Try Penalties on the Try may carry over, and if they do, only the placement of the kicker will change Safety Kick: The kick will be from the 20-yard line, and the kicker will have the option to use a tee; the setup zone and the landing zone will not change

  3. Breath #1: “Warren is like Notre Dame in that they are overrated annually despite not beating anyone.” Pause… Breath #2: “College football is a totally different beast than high school.” LOFL.

  4. Uh no… You know better than that. Man, what is so hard for you to understand? Warren was 0-7 against teams above .500 last year yet you want to give them credit towards this year for that. Who did they beat last year? College football is a totally different beast than high school and you are smarter than that. NIL has ruined college football and players go to the highest bidder, period. Hell, you can play at 4 schools in 4 years and make bank. Each year in college football is its own entity.

  5. Meanwhile, Trump walks into a hornet’s nest in Chicago at the NABJ conference which Harris ghosted and just can’t keep his mouth shut. Biden won this way in 2020 from his basement. Just let Trump open his mouth and sink himself after we cut up his words. Harris trying it in 2024. They aren’t even hiding it anymore.

  6. Biden: “I’m going to show that diversity is our strength and make a black woman the vice president of the United States!” Trump: “She’s a DEI hire.” MSM: “Trump is racist.”

  8. Despite being someone who has difficulty passing on any opportunity to take a dump on Notre Dame, I think this analogy misses slightly. ND is among the most talented 10-15 teams in football annually but every team has the same pool of players and scholarship limits by which to abide. Warren annually has nearly 300 kids out for football and has a decisive enrollment advantage over nearly every other school in the state in that category. I am not "following the rest" as my poll is complete and has been for quite sometime. I guess I could still make some adjustments as new information comes out in terms of transfers and such and I told many folks on this board I would wait to give any type of analysis until we got closer to the season. Hell, schools are back in session in Marion County so I wouldn't be surprised if new faces continue to show up in new places as we get closer to the season. I concede that about half of the teams on your list could give Warren a run but you were basing that solely off last year. East Central and Crown Point had generational type teams for their respective schools and Warren had a down year. That's not something I expect to continue this year. I also will not concede on Chatard and even the most staunch insiders on here have mentioned Cathedral is a big unknown this year. I'll give you Ben Davis, Center Grove, Snider and Carroll obviously, but that's where it stops for me in 2025.

  10. It can’t come soon enough. It feels like last season ended 15 years ago. Almost time fellas!

  11. So, just like Notre Dame football, who is given a top 10 ranking every year despite being a non factor for over 30 years, it is just given. Ok… I appreciate the fact that you are doing your rankings, always a good read, but I have also appreciated you not just following the rest when doing so. Sometimes being original and contrarian is not a bad thing…

  13. I get they’re your rival and all but it needs to be mentioned they’re one of three schools in this conference to have ever advanced to a “final four” in football and they’re the only one to do it in the last five years. Pretty good for a team that “tries to dribble the football”.

  16. I'll remember that counselor! If I happen to get on the radio...it will just be Friday nights. There is a new journalism student who is taking over the Coach's show this year from what I hear. There is only a slight chance this will happen.....if it doesn't happen we need to change vendors in my humble opinion....but I am biased LOL. I plan to bash Catholic sports like a French opening ceremony! I kid...I kid.
