He was trying to convince TA to “monetize” the GID by, among other things, converting it to a subscription based forum. TA was totally against the idea.

I remember reading his post on FB earlier this year saying that schools that have been consistently uncompetitive should just drop football as an extra curricular… all time dumb take IMO also he can’t get enough of IU losing on the CFP stage. I doubt he’s logged off since they blew the final whistle on that one lol

DT sent me a DM a few years ago and said he attempted to interview 50 coaches for his platform. He said 49 of them called him back. He said the only one that didn't was Coach Bragg. Then proceeded to call him lazy. Lol. Which is funny because I'm at Floyd all the time and coach is always there doing stuff. I have no idea who this DT guy is?

Every school has the “funds”. As Muda says, these are government (tax payer dollars) schools.

IU had an incredible season and no IU fan should be overly disappointed with the loss. ND is just a better / deeper team. Coach Cig has IU going in the right direction and IU fans have lots to look forward to for football season for a change.

Can you answer my questions from above?

You must be a young person. It was common in the 1950's to bypass players of color for major awards. Just a sign of the times.

As I indicated, my understanding is the exams are used to properly place the student in classes. I’m not aware of any p/p schools turning away paying customers. One exception might be special Ed students, as they may not be equipped to furnish necessary services.

He also tried to steal the GID away from TA, which is why he was banned initially. Present management allowed him back until he was banned again. His only answer to growing football seems to be by dropping unsuccessful programs, addition by subtraction……still haven’t figured out how that works. He’s a retired sports writer who think people will pay to read his drivel.

This is good to know. I find it ironic that a page like that makes his posts about high school football coaches that are on the hot seat or need to be fired, and then asks the same general public to sponsor/fund his page so he can "promote" the game.

Do I think they WOULD shave off those kids to stay, probably not. Do I think it would be easier for them to affect enrollment numbers (in their favor) than a public school? Absolutely.

Makes sense. I remember reading in here a while back that that page had been copy pasting some of the game information to their page that had originally been posted in here.

This is going to have to be my only source for local football talk. Whoever is running the Hoosier Prep Gridiron on FB has some incredibly dumb takes. Talking about IU the way they did after their game with ND last night, especially after the incredible season IU has had, just did it in for me. Maybe they do it for the clicks and reactions, I don’t know.

Covid, recruiting, location, success, facilities, the list goes on and on. I don't really care the "reason". Just seems incredibly ironic that Providence has a 1A enrollment for a small period of time and then once they win it all their enrollment all of the sudden increases to a number that would have clearly had them a class up. How convenient. As a previous poster stated, I am sure the 1A/Providence example is not the only one of this across all classes.

Who cares? Whether it is easier or not, it’s only relevant if it’s happening. And there’s not a shred of credible evidence that it’s happening, has happened, or will happen in the future.
