Grissom struggles to field a full team, Schmucker is the middle sized team while Discovery typically has the larger team. Rocket football league numbers I have heard are down but there are more teams in the league than when I played back in the 90's. So, that Idk how to compare. I have also heard that there is a lot of pressure being put on middle school players and even younger to play only 1 sport by AAU/Travel teams. While we all would likely agree it is better for the kids to be multi-sport athletes. I used to never think this way, but as of the last decade I would gladly sacrifice Penn's season for a Notre Dame national championship. To me that is how bad it has become. I thought Penn could put together a season and come away with the title way before ND actually had a chance to win the Natty, now it seems like Penn will never win another state title while ND is at the door step. It is frustrating.

I wouldn't call that game a beatdown. HH scored a TD with a minute to go to ice it away. It was a great game between the two best teams in 3A.

The SEC has been doing this for years. And they play one less conference game than everybody else to avoid having half their teams adding a loss to their resume. They pad their win totals and pound their chests. Rinse, wash, repeat.

The offense looked like you would expect a Hart offense to look! However....they seemed really undersized on both lines to me and that could be a challenge for them in the SIAC this season.

2H was pretty close since Memorial tied up 21-21 in the middle of the 3Q after being down 21-0 in the 1H. But HH set tone early in the game and rebounded from the comeback in the 4Q. That was one physical and quick team to watch from the stands.

Correct, but in the modern era of portal activity, he’d not be able to keep up in the SEC week in and week out. At Clemson, he takes the field with the most talented team in the ACC weekly. I’m probably going to be framed as a hater for this take but it also that time of year when college football fans/pages are releasing their coaching rankings and I find it hilarious that Ryan Day is still viewed as a unanimous #1 in the Big Ten. Managing talent while given an open checkbook is no doubt challenging but the bottom feeders in the power 4 don’t wanna hear about it.

Now imagine if Dabo was at a “blue blood” like Ohio State or Michigan in the Big Ten or Alabama or Georgia in the SEC with everything you said about his recruiting prowess and his top tier program. The east side of Fort Wayne is only 1 hour 15 minutes from the west side of Toledo. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Toledo isn't far. Love the idea of Fort Wayne vs Toledo in high school football. That would be the bomb. Fort to Port. Komets vs Walleye...............it just makes sense.

From what I know it was a one year contract. CG moved their schedule around last year to play Westfield after Westfield originally told them no to playing. I have a few AD friends that both confirmed this. CG wanted to continue this on, but Warren came back into their schedule. I really wish HCC would have voted CG into the conference a few years back.

West Lafayette HS and Purdue alum gets a healthy pay raise. Good for him. Never saw him in a game in high school, but did at a couple of camps at St. Francis and at Purdue. Dude was a beast even in high school.
