I was lead to believe that the scrimmages were a way to get back to a 10 game schedule and it never materialize. I would not be in favor of moving the starting date up. Those early season games are hard enough on fat old guys as it is, especially on turf.

What does anyone think about add two more weeks to the season? Now with my idea with add two weeks. You will add one more game and would have a bye week.

I think there is only one school with the stones to move to the SIAC left in the area. A PAC expansion is probably the most likely option at this hour....but this stuff has taken a lot of twists and turns so who knows.

Back in the day, there was a pizza place that was closed after the game, but they fed the officials after the game. I can't recall the name of it. Had some fine pizza in there. Zwanzigs is da bomb. We eat there a lot after games. Closed after games, but if you're near Oldenburg, the Brau Haus is killer. If you're down south, hustle up, they close fairly early, The New Albanian in New Albany rocks. Great pizza. McQ's pub if you're near Roncalli.....if you can get in after the game. In New Castle you HAVE to go to The Ice House and get the steak sandwich with onions. One of the best dive bars in Indiana. San Pedro Mexican in Charlestown is pretty good, a word of caution they quit selling alcohol an hour before closing time. Rubbin Butts near Sellersburg, reasonably priced BBQ that's really good. I'll be honest over 36 years, there's a bunch!

Looks like it's a win-win for you then as Vincennes appears to also have a top-notch baseball program!

That really solves nothing with it only like maybe 3 degree cooler at a later starting time. Being down here right on the Ohio River alot of times those first 2 games you feel like you are sitting in a sauna. So miserable in the stands and cant even imagine how it is pads for the kids. Ive lived in both Indy and Evansville and its amazing in that distance how much hotter and more humid it is down here.

Multiple issues with it. With this being a basketball state, there is no way anyone would really support going beyond Thanksgiving weekend to end the season. So, to start two weeks earlier puts the officially start date for practice in the middle part of July. Not really a fan of that myself.

These things suck. When my 25+ years old gas can finally bit the dust these stupid "safety first" models were all I could find for new. So I removed all the safety crap and now just pour the gasoline using a funnel.
