If true, this is absolutely hilarious…them wanting to have their cake and eat it too. ”If you’re too good for us, then leave…but we will still play you and not count it as a conference game so someone else can claim the conference title.”

Basketball and the other 18 sports don’t do their scheduling in advance? Come on…

I just want to know if Ben Davis or Warren are going to claim a conference championship with a straight face should this schedule play itself out and they lose to both Carmel and Center Grove.

I never said the IHSAA would go away. But they may have competition in the field of managing high school sports and sponsoring post season tournaments. Is that such a bad thing? Glad to see you are taking the managerial lead in this exciting endeavor, SenatorFan. My role as a GID idea man has born fruit again.

We start out as a football only organization and establish sane, sensible rules regarding conferences and membership. We create a fair and equitable playoff system that values regular season performance AND includes both private and public schools. We pay officials a reasonable rate per game that attracts both veteran and new officials. We listen to member schools and implement improvements that have grassroots support that put the athletes and member schools best interest first. We recruit the top 16 teams in each class to join us. Two of the class 6A schools are looking for a home right now. We deliver an exciting product for the fan on the field. We obtain corporate sponsorship on both a local and statewide level that allows member schools to retain 100% of all gate proceeds during the regular season and playoff runs. We offer monetary rewards to each school as they advance through the playoffs from the corporate funds. We present the fans and schools the opportunity to participate in the First Harrison Bank Sectional 48 Championship @ CORYDON, the Harrahs Regional 4 Championship @ Anderson, the Toyota Southwestern SemiState Championship @ Evansville, and the Indianapolis Colts Indiana State Championship @ Lucas Oil Stadium Once we prove we can deliver a quality football product then we can work on other sports. Again all suggestions welcome for this slightly tongue in cheek idea. Who knows we surely can present a better product than the current system. 🏈🏆🥇
