  1. Heard there were special dispensations provided, along with Subways subs, at the rest break on the way home. Hopefully, they'll pad the schedule a couple of minutes to stop off and take a look at the Grand Canyon.

  2. I love my Flying Jets, but Marion Local would have no issues in beating us. They have the height advantage to get their passing game rolling. The MAC schools have size with weight & height that most smaller schools do not. Be curious as to how Indy Lutheran would match with Marion Local. Think Marion Local would win but it would be a decent game I believe. Marion Local has been highly ranked nationally. My newer eye doctor is a volunteer coach for Marion Local and it seems both programs have the same approach & mindset. They just have a much better passing game. I'm sure their running game would eventually wear AC down too. AC could possibly run against ML & possibly stop the ML run game for a bit. I know a few of us AC folks are big MAC & Marion Local fans as well as a few other Ohio neighbors in the NWC, GMC, and WBL conferences.

  3. The problem would be who would have enough money to fight Notre Dame on the issue. They would bury any law firm we could hire.

  4. Sorry, "leftover" was a bad term. I just know from my experiences as a player not too long ago talking with various Tri-West/Danville kids that I had known throughout the years they would talk about kids moving in because of better opportunity athletically and more attention 1-on-1 academically due to the smaller setting. Numerous occasions I heard the same thing. It didn't mean these kids weren't as good, but they possibly didn't fit the big school scheme so they moved out, nothing wrong with it. You see it with any smaller schools that are surrounded by larger ones that are rapidly growing.

  6. I don't know that the specific location of the Lilly development should matter too much. People could easily live anywhere in Boone County and work there. The Western Boone school district encompasses the most land area in Boone County if I'm not mistaken. From what I read, you won't be able to drive north of where Lilly is developing more than a mile or two before you get into the district. The school name is a bit of a misnomer. It does encompass all of the western side of Boone County but it also covers almost the entire northern 1/3 of the County all the way over until you run into Sheridan district. My guess is that there will be decent growth in the Webo district as a result of this. Perhaps not as much as in Lebanon, but significant. Certainly enough that I think their 2A days may be permanently in their past.

  9. School boundaries are already set and are not changed by annexation. If the area is part of the WeBo school district and is annexed by Lebanon, the school districts would have to agree on the boundaries being changed. I believe in Indiana school boundaries are determined by township lines. Those are not affected by annexation. For an example, look at Noblesville and the number of Noblesville residents who attend HSE Schools.

  10. I think they are referring to the kids leaving Avon or Brownsburg and going to school at Danville or Tri-West but not actually moving into the district maybe? Like the kid maybe 3rd string or not be able to play at a 6A school (Avon/BBurg) but could start at a 3A or 4A school? Not speaking for VanHalen6, but I think that is what they are referring to?

  12. Ahhh I'm glad you brought up PETA, excellent point... and in some cases, they put "fighting" in front of the mascot's name. So not only do they mock/make fun of animals, they want them to be dangerous! The horrors!
