South Bend Schools
Yuccaguy replied to Football Guru 25's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
The thing that the GID provides for those outside of the "areas" is the intrigue of what happening INSIDE of those areas.. I don't normally see the distance in certain places... but when given a thought of it, it is something to consider. -

Coach O'Shea will do a GREAT job at Bremen! The win/loss record is, IMO nothing to focus upon. He was masterful with his experience within the NECC as it was constructed. -
I kind of knew they (White's kids) would be heading out. Hmm... Surry and Hogue, that's a loss? Those guys leaving doesn't help at all. So I guess its back to the "recruitment trail"? Editorial Commentary: (In keeping with the general tone and tenor of the underlying sentiment amongst a LARGE amount of posters within this and other social media platforms). 😀

I haven't heard that Robert. If so that would dramatically change the SAC in a lot of ways depending upon WHO/WHAT left from BL.
-
I'm not disagreeing in an "one off (or 2) "from Southern Allen County. But I certainly see those in North Adams, Blackford and even Wells heading over to Monroe and Geneva. Hopefully, as a FB supporter, this is just a cyclical situation at his time.
-
Perhaps, But I see Heritage ON THE RISE within that conference. Why would you leave a school system that offers "more" than that which is within AC? . It more that just sports (FB in this case).
-
Perhaps, and I'd think that would be a MUCH better option than anything in Adams County. The systems that the Adams County schools imply with FB seem to be 'ingrained' any are a model for what they do. BL allows a lot more leeway for what they do with FB athletes within the system that they imply. It ain't a DOUBLE wing, and pass MAYBE....
-
Probably so. But I still don't see any substantial numbers heading towards Monroe (or even Geneva) for FB in any fashion. North Adams, maybe. Blackford and Jay....perhaps. Allen? I just don't see that happening. EACS has programs that are 'competitive', IMO.
-
From where? and heading all the way down to Monroe? Seriously? And besides, the AC program starts in grade school/PAL.... You honestly believe that kids can come in and miraculously "learn" that system?
-
Bottom line is simple. CP is 'no joke'. It's the fanatics that make things crazy here and other places once the season gets going that's the issue. It is to say the least... Entertaining though.

Is GS still in 3A @ this time? If so, that would be a TITANIC (no pun intended) matchup at LOS....
-
Don't sleep on Bishop Luers in 3A. I'm telling you, they have 'horses' in the pipeline that are ready. Yes, they are/were a 2A powerhouse. With the talk that 3A is "down".... Why wouldn't they be looked at as breaking through in 3A?
-
Pretty sure that some do. I just check in every now and then for information, add some content (some sarcasm, some informative as in the case of answers....but I don't attempt to be a pest and just find posts to 'comment' on when I see a screen name. Keeps me sane! And as for the perceived posters that seem to just be "out there".... I appreciate and look forward to actually rationalizing about their thoughts. BEFORE making any comment, if ever. They actually are appreciated by most on the GID to providing a different perspective to discussions.

As I've said a lot before: The dividing line of US24....(obviously more South of that in all actually) has become a trend at the 6A level for 'success' at the Finals. Being a "Northerner" of course I am anxiously waiting for a program to break through and change the current narrative that exists in 6A at the State Finals. I also will NOT cow-tow to the belief that 'school choice' (public tax money) is the answer to FB success in ANY way/shape/fashion/form. It is a federal/state sanctioned "welfare program" extended to P/P institutions IMO. My parents paid their own freight to send ME to parochial schools. Why would I ask I my neighbor to contribute to my wanting a Porsche by taking my/other's public monies from the system to make that happen? My wanting to have a "Porsche" is MY issue, not my neighbors. Our collective goal should be to provide the best possible PUBLIC education and funding to our local systems and teachers! Sadly, I see major issues coming in the ensuing years with the abilities of programs to 'recruit and raid' players on ALL levels of HS sports. The template has been shown with collegiate athletics, and even THEY cannot control the issues that are at play now. -

1. Strangely enough, this solves Baltimore's issue with cutting him after this disastrous season of misses. 2. When will these guys learn to just get a PERSONAL ASSISTANT, sign NDA's and keep paying them, for years on end? I can guarantee you that this stuff didn't start with Deshawn Watson, and it won't end with Justin Tucker. Please call Robert Kraft and ask him for 'advise and counsel'. 3. Just sayin

Program Lore, Trivia and Tidbits

An absolute LEGEND! Had Coach Gilbert @ South Adams for a Regional a few years ago. 20 degrees outside. And YES he had on short sleeves and blue tie... BTW, they won the State that year.
