  1. Perhaps you should start on North Meridian? The IHSAA currently has a huge Title IX issue with their new (now in it's second year) limited contact rule. Boy Basketball currently gets two more weeks of instruction than their female counterparts. Baseball players get one extra week than their softball playing classmates. Over the course of a four year career, boys basketball players are receiving and 32 more hours of instruction than their female peers. I will admit to playing the Title IX card to get lights at our Softball diamond, when every other venue at the school had them, and we didn't.
  2. The biggest issue I see with sending info via the sports chairs is the fact there are crews out there working who don't work the tournament and don't attend meetings or are even members of an association. We were also relayed another email where crews made some really bonehead decisions on their own and didn't allow kids to play in games for various correctable issues. I would venture to crews making such decisions aren't the crews who are members of associations and attending the meetings.
  3. I am basing my post on an email from the office read to us at last night's meeting. This was sent to the Football chairs.
  4. Running clock ONLY in the 2nd half regardless of what the coaches agree to.
  5. That's 13 minutes I'll never get back. Doesn't answer anything, canned responses, the dude is slick, I'll give him that.
  6. At our association meeting last night, I heard some things......I heard some things.
  7. Punt hits the pylon, TB. Consult the Gold Book, lol. NFHS is four downs from the 10.
  8. Impressive physical specimen. Big, strong, athletic. Tough to tell, PC was pretty vanilla offensively. Nice young man, very courteous, yes sir, no sir. I wasn’t able to really see any passes.
  9. Couldn't tell you the score of either of the varsity games I've seen this year.......
  10. OK, way back in my day, in Basketball season WTTV 4 used to have the Tuesday night game of the week on TV. I think I was a junior and we played at Shelbyville. Not sure if we won or not, but our BS chant was clearly audible on the TV. One of my prouder moments in high school.
  11. Not sure what it's like now, but when I was involved, Seymour's may have been one of the worst. I know they both (AD and assistant AD) got tired of listening to me complain about their stupid restrictions on students.
  12. I ain't going to lie, I love RK! They frequently have good deals on guns, and I'll admit to having purchased a couple there. The also run good specials on ammo. If you like Carhartt clothing, you won't find it cheaper anywhere else.
  13. OK, everyone knows my thoughts on cheerleading, but good on you MU Cheerleaders! Go Knights! http://www.muknights.com/article/6994?fbclid=IwAR3mWBL917QQB8hJLgfrQetCGbA9Yy3gedGEZgYdawc0XWFI41FSAfDIObw
  14. High school sports should be fun. Unfortunately in today's society many schools opt for the no fun allowed policy. And then everyone wonders why students don't show up.
  15. Honestly I don't see what all the hub bub over this Wal Mart thing is. 1. Wal Mart hasn't sold hand guns in the lower 48 that I am aware of. 2. Local store typically has a lousy selection of guns, I would never consider buying a gun there. 3. Locally I may have bought some bulk shot gun shells from them in the past, but their selection of ammo is less than stellar, and the pricing is not that attractive. 4. They have asked people not to open carry, so what? You can still carry. Most folks don't open carry anyway. 5. Patronize your local gun shop, patronize your local businesses period. They're part of your community. Any big box is one bad quarter away from closing up.
  16. I literally lol’d when they made the statement was made about sideline cameras.
