  1. Assume Clarksville Generals take their name from George Rogers Clark. The city of Clarksville was part of the “Clark Grant” as was most of Clark and Floyd Counties. Floyd Central Highlanders, assuming because they are the shining beacon on top of the hill. Being born, raised, and lived in Seymour all my life, I don't know the story behind our mascot. Though they don't have Football, Muncie Burris's mascot is also Owls. As I have pointed out many times, Owls are ferocious raptors. My dad was a graduate of Rockville, and he never knew the point of their mascot being the Rox. Shoals has the largest free standing table rock formation east of the Mississippi, named the Jug Rock. I've never seen it, but I've seen the sign flash by on 50 as I drive someplace else. As far as the Millers of Noblesville, I would ask @LysanderI'd wait until the early morning hours.
  2. On another note, as I understand it, this was played in Cincinnati. Assuming you used Indiana officials, are officials obligated to fill out reports on games played out of state?
  3. And only the ninth post in a completely unrelated thread.
  4. A only had 10 on the field, the sub made 11.
  5. This is my point, we have two good officials, with two different interpretations. Bob I assume is saying let it go, and you're saying kill it. Lemonnier and his host came to no conclusion about it, the play in question had no flag on it, and their main point was there had to be a flag for something. In the play there was a pass that was intercepted by B.
  6. ? Some tried to make the argument that he was moving towards the LOS and claimed a false start. This is one of the first 12-15 plays on the 19 Lemonier video, there was even some discussion on the tape about blowing it dead or letting it go, which spurred further discussion with us. My contention it does not meet the criteria for a false start. Regardless of whether you want to call illegal sub, illegal motion, or illegal shift, all of those require the ball to be snapped to be fouls. I’m going with illegal substitution and I’m letting the play go, had the ball not been snapped he could have gotten inside the nine yard mark and assumed a legal position. Am I wrong?
  7. A has 10 players on O, with seven lineman. Sub A21 enters the field a A’s side of the ball and A snaps the ball prior to A21 reaching the nine yard mark. The discussion at our meeting was do you let the play go, or blow it dead at the snap. My contention is you have to let it go, because the ball has to be snapped for this to be a foul. Several disagreed that even though it’s a foul at the snap, you blow it dead. Thoughts?
  8. Probably should have downvoted for it being colorized! Thanks Ted Turner!
  9. When my wife and I left the funeral home after my father's viewing, I made the comment "you know there were a lot more stories told, and laughs shared, than there were tears shed". At the end of the day, that's what it's all about.
  10. Well when you throw the ball one of three things can happen, and two of them are bad.
  11. I'm pretty sure they sponsor local youth teams, I'm familiar with the Crapo Agency.
  12. It definitely changes the way you watch a game. Even watching a game on TV, I often find myself counting offensive players in the huddle, looking for subs coming in, and once the line up looking at the formation to make sure they're legal, checking numbers positions, etc. The superstar.....sadly unless he's the QB, the LG, or one of the defensive rushers, I probably won't see much of him. I often here the BJ or wing talk about these spectacular plays down field, and I never see them. In fact many times I don't know whether the ball is dropped or caught. You have your keys, then your area of responsibility, and that's your sole focus.
  13. From what I've seen of the film we missed an illegal formation on one play.
  14. We see a wide variety of conferences from little to big. I honestly can't remember any specifics, I just know we're seeing more and more of the. FWIW, back when the Colts played at the RCA Dome, they had 5 buck tickets upstairs in the EZ. At the time we had season tickets about the GL on the home side on the east end. Upstairs EZ was hands down my favorite place to watch.
  15. We see more and more of them. As far as specific schools, I really don't remember. I have always LOVED the EZ view, I love it when schools include the EZ view when they share with us on Hudl. We had a film last year that was cut up with Side long, side tight, and EZ, so each play played three times, one with each view. I love it. Takes a little longer to get thru, but so much more to see.
  16. If he QB tells me he's taking a knee, I always tell him not to mess around, go down.
  17. I beg to differ, you are accusing them of cheating per the rules of the scrimmage. And I wasn’t there, but I would be willing to bet FC’s starters played more than 10 plays.
