The Tigers were on the field pretty early yesterday morning, so I assume Castle cancelled bc of the heat.
Bosse hosted South Spencer and Mt. Vernon on Wednesday night in some 7o7.
I loved those give aways. And he usually included an animal shelter donation for the winner. My only meager claim to Irsay fame is him liking a reply I made to one of his rock & roll tweets a few years ago.
Yep. Very sad. Mr. Irsay had a huge heart. I suspect his daughters will do everything they possibly can to continue the legacy he leaves on football in Indiana.
@hhpatriot04 A little surprised 2017 Gibson Southern is in the 3A Top 25 (#16), but the 2017 3A state champs (Ev. Memorial) aren't, especially when Ev. Memorial beat Gibson Southern in the Sectional final.
This might bring me out of coaching retirement. I loved flag football in IU intramurals in the late 80's. Still remember some of the multi-pitch plays we ran, but I'd have to change the play names because they were all pretty raunchy.
Yes it was. We played some sophs who were just over-matched, but BTC was a well-oiled machine. I forgot how bad that field was. It wasn't the reason we lost, but man, what a goat pasture... LOL
Agree 100%. Field condition was no factor in that outcome. BTC was by far the better team that year.
I think the biggest advantage of playing at home is better tailgate and getting to pick the playlist for the pre-game music.
They were a duo from the first practice of 7th grade Cub football. They were almost unstoppable and made the coach look exceptional... He hit so hard in 7th grade it was almost scary.
As someone who actually pays property taxes in Vanderburgh County, I would much prefer to keep the two unique HS football stadiums we have (Reitz Bowl and Enlow Field) in good repair. Drilling into the resurfaced concrete it what has me scratching my head a little bit.
