  1. I hope Boonville HS has good cell reception so I can follow HH @ GS on the interweb. Good luck to both teams in what should be a great game.
  2. I think whoever wins Sectional 28 is the (mostly) clear favorite to win 3A state, but the favorite doesn't always win.
  3. That seems a little overdramatic. BC is in 3A because that’s what the enrollment dictates. They will have some tough games ahead. I would peg them the favorite, but they were probably the favorite the past few years too and came up short (a couple were even pretty lopsided losses). You just never know...
  4. Real grass, no crazy crown like at Castle. The Pioneers haven't played at home since Sept. 27 so it should be in tip-top shape. I'll be in Boonville tomorrow so I'll drive through and see how it looks.
  5. Nobody I know considers the Memorial teams from 2012-2014 a "stain on program's history". But I do agree that with a couple of exceptions, the recent match-ups between GS and Memorial have been very competitive, exciting games and most could have gone either way. It's why the rivalry is so good. Both have great coaches, kids, & fans. Until this year, it was an eventual tournament match-up a lot of people were already looking forward to in August...
  6. I am very disappointed in all of you. LOL. Nah, very well said Patriot74. I think it is a sign of well-earned mutual respect. I sure wish I could see a replay of this one on TV.
  7. No worries. I was just trying to get brownie points with Coach Nowlin... LOL
  8. We aren't supposed to discuss rumors and such on the GID, with good reason.
  9. My sense is this would make it very difficult for a football coach to build a program at a school that struggles in football but has a good basketball program.
  10. We had a bye last week. It definitely helped us get healthy. Still hated not playing and not tailgating, but I'm selfish..
  11. IMO McGrew is the 2nd best RB in the SIAC, behind only Schutte from Central. Both are very tough runners who are like tackling bowling balls. Lannert is one of the fastest guys in SIAC. I've seen a few Linton games (Boonville, ND, Providence and maybe Sullivan early on but can't remember that one). I did not see the Southridge game. I think MD will likely be the best team Linton has seen that can run and pass. Has Linton played on turf this season? As MDAlum82 says, sit in the bowl, not the visitor bleachers. The view is much better from the curve or behind the goal post.
  12. I think MD will beat Linton I get it. I think MD will beat Linton by 3-4 scores. I've watched several Linton games on the IHSAA TV network and I think they will have trouble stopping MD and MD has a stout D. But I thought Bosse would beat North Harrison, so what the heck do I know? Central should have no problem with Jasper, unless they play the way they did against Reitz in the first half. Memorial needs to get the O on track. The D has been pretty solid all year.
  13. Caught the replay of BC/Brebeuf on the IHSAA network Saturday. Trojans look solid. The game against WL will be a doozy. I hope it is on TV replay.
  14. I would be surprised if that were the case. I expect MD, Central, and Memorial to all advance in very competitive games.
  15. I’ll take MD and the points! Should be a great game.
  16. The kid who was suspended last week played last night.
  17. Clearly the Bulldogs laid an egg and would likely have been blown out by Heritage Hills without Brady and Edelman, and probably a few others. Score probably would have been 42-7 or worse...
  18. Anyone taking North tonight? Anyone hearing chatter from First Avenue?
