  1. Carmel enrollment for most, if not all of the Dullaghan years was <2,000. Geez, can't he get some credit?
  2. Olympic Conference Overall W-L Pct. W-L Pct. Carmel 5-0 1.000 9-1 0.900 Kokomo Haworth 4-1 0.800 7-3 0.700 Anderson Madison-Heights 2-3 0.400 7-3 0.700 Huntington North 2-3 0.400 6-4 0.600 Muncie North 1-4 0.200 3-7 0.300 Muncie South 1-4 0.200 1-9 0.100 1976..... The inaugural season for the Olympic Conference. Only 2 schools remain from that conference.
  3. Noblesville knew what they were getting. 1-9 is irrelevant. 2020 was his 1st year.
  4. Mid-60’s. The Fishers Tigers were in the Carmel BBL sectional. They didn’t have football, but there are plenty of us alive today that remember them.
  5. Yeah, it’s mid-third qtr and this already a freezing cold take. I think the Bears D is fine but on the field way to much. Trubisky has played well..... threaded quite a few passes for completions to receivers that can’t seem to get open. Bears O seems predictable and NOLA has the answer EVERY TIME. Except the reverse pitch pass to a wide open..... aaaannnd he dropped it. The Bears waved the white flag at the end of the half. Possession, 2 minutes on the clock and 3 timeouts. Yet they allowed the time to run down without making a serious effort. It’s the playoffs, you play to win. Not cool.
  6. Not sure I would agree with this. Do you have data to support? Certainly population plays an important part. I would think baring outside factors (such as Ohio’s traditions) it would pretty much go by population order. Anyway you size it that puts ill, Mich, Ohio top 3 and Ind 4th. All indications are Ohio is #1, then Mich/ill (pick one). I think we all agree Ohio is 1st and Ky 5th. Except probably DT and Muda.🥴
  7. https://www.ihsaa.org/Portals/0/ihsaa/documents/schools/State Championship History.pdf Carmel leads the state in championships and more than doubles 2nd place North Central. Center Grove is tied for 22nd with a handful of other schools.
  8. You forgot North Central (Indy) and North Central (Farmersburg).
  9. Another “DT” style thread. MIC schools are satisfied. HCC schools are satisfied. CI is on their own. Nothing to see here.
  10. Agreed. Stevie Scott had 99 yards. But the running game was no where to be seen in the 1st half. Some ball control would have kept the defense a little fresher. But the script was written for IU to have the final drive to win the game. Unfortunately the understudy was given the lead part and he couldn’t deliver. A healthy Tuttle is not close to Penix, a wounded Tuttle, well, you get the idea.
  11. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2021/01/01/notre-dame-loses-alabama-another-college-football-elite-bowl-game/4109590001/ A scathing story by this USA Today reporter on ND and their unique independent status and the bowl money they collect.
  12. Cincinnati pays a visit to Bloomington this fall. Looking forward to it!
  13. I read on ESPN’s sight that Florida barely had the minimum eligible roster because of Covid and opt-outs. Top 4 receivers and 4 starters on defense. So there’s that.
  14. You’re not going to recoup the loss. It’s ridiculous to think you can. You may have to trim some fat to get through the next couple of years, no new equipment purchases, for example. But you hope to have paid attendance the same as before the pandemic. You can’t expect anything more.
  15. Wait. What? Is this an early April fool’s joke? Did not see this coming.
  16. Regardless of the snub, this exposure is critical to Allen’s recruiting. Potential recruits will see LEO live and how this defense flies all over the field. ‘22 and ‘23 recruits are the foundation to building on the program.
  17. Yes because all bowl participants are selected based on their high school recruiting. How many points are you giving based on “UMISS”’s talent advantage?
  18. I should have taken Fisher to place!
  19. When the day comes that nobody will be old enough to understand the phrase “you sound like a broken record”, you will still sound like a broken record.
  20. I think you're full of it. IU has been big play oriented all season. Did OSU's offense let up too? Fields generated one scoring drive in the 2nd half. Did you catch a nice bass then let up after that? How are all those blue gill? How these teams would fare through 10 years irrelevant. We're talking 2020. And the team IU puts on the field this season is special. Your definition of a good team describes Indiana to a tee. They create turnovers and capitalize on them. OSU's advantage this year is not based on talent. It's based on reputation. They have played practically the same schedule. Results are similar. But they started their season in the CFP. Indiana started as an unranked. They have slowly risen in the rankings, until the CFP noticed they were perilously close to the top 4. So as they continued to rise in the coaches/media polls (currently 8th), they seemingly have peaked in the CFP rankings. Is Ohio State deserving of the CFP playoffs? Yes. Did they do anything to deserve it? Just win baby. But using the same criteria, if Indiana doesn't get a NY6 bowl bid, an investigation should begin.
  21. Doesn’t matter now, Game is Covid cancelled.
  22. Lunch
  23. Draw? Like it was ping pong balls? The conference’s plan was to play 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, etc. This would only change if they had already played. But no, they stuck it To IU again. Yes Iowa would have been a tough assignment. But they took another opportunity away. Beating Purdue will not give them a guaranteed NY6 bowl. Beating Iowa would. This team, this year, for whatever reason is special. They deserve to be treated fair by the head aholes of the conference. Instead they want to kick them by the curb.
  24. Indeed it’s the Bucket game Friday night. I assume it will be @ LOS? IF they are cleared to play. This will only hurt IU’s chances for a NY6 bowl game. They should be playing Iowa as the 2nd place vs 2nd place. I guess the B1G changed another rule. Sad. Edit: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/2020/12/13/iu-vs-purdue-old-oaken-bucket-game-scheduled-7-30-p-m-friday/6531015002/ It’s in Bloomington. Another change of the agenda. The crossover games were supposed to be played in indoor facilities.
