  1. I think you're full of it. IU has been big play oriented all season. Did OSU's offense let up too? Fields generated one scoring drive in the 2nd half. Did you catch a nice bass then let up after that? How are all those blue gill? How these teams would fare through 10 years irrelevant. We're talking 2020. And the team IU puts on the field this season is special. Your definition of a good team describes Indiana to a tee. They create turnovers and capitalize on them. OSU's advantage this year is not based on talent. It's based on reputation. They have played practically the same schedule. Results are similar. But they started their season in the CFP. Indiana started as an unranked. They have slowly risen in the rankings, until the CFP noticed they were perilously close to the top 4. So as they continued to rise in the coaches/media polls (currently 8th), they seemingly have peaked in the CFP rankings. Is Ohio State deserving of the CFP playoffs? Yes. Did they do anything to deserve it? Just win baby. But using the same criteria, if Indiana doesn't get a NY6 bowl bid, an investigation should begin.
  2. Doesn’t matter now, Game is Covid cancelled.
  3. Draw? Like it was ping pong balls? The conference’s plan was to play 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, etc. This would only change if they had already played. But no, they stuck it To IU again. Yes Iowa would have been a tough assignment. But they took another opportunity away. Beating Purdue will not give them a guaranteed NY6 bowl. Beating Iowa would. This team, this year, for whatever reason is special. They deserve to be treated fair by the head aholes of the conference. Instead they want to kick them by the curb.
  4. Indeed it’s the Bucket game Friday night. I assume it will be @ LOS? IF they are cleared to play. This will only hurt IU’s chances for a NY6 bowl game. They should be playing Iowa as the 2nd place vs 2nd place. I guess the B1G changed another rule. Sad. Edit: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/2020/12/13/iu-vs-purdue-old-oaken-bucket-game-scheduled-7-30-p-m-friday/6531015002/ It’s in Bloomington. Another change of the agenda. The crossover games were supposed to be played in indoor facilities.
  5. Wouldn’t surprise me if the B1G set IU/Purdue as the crossover game this week. Also wouldn’t surprise me if the game is not played because of Covid.
  6. You're pushing 70 and you hope your dad doesn't see this?
  7. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/indiana-football-future-schedules/ Hoosiers doing a home and home with Cincinnati starting next year, Could be fun!
  8. Fair enough. Keep in mind if they are a bowl bound team most years there is a 50%? chance of another win. Hopefully I’m still around in 10 years.
  9. Not gonna happen. The B1G will amend their rules.
  10. For the sake of truthfulness, which I know you cherish, I said they CAN be a consistent 9-10 win program. Didn’t say they were there yet. Momentum is building. The next 4 recruiting classes will most likely determine the long term impact.
  11. I heard Webster wasn’t the starting QB at that time, no?
  12. I’d like someone to state what they think he brings to Franklin Central. This program has nowhere to go but up. I would think the fan base is optimistic.
  13. This. And it’s not spin, it’s fact. To even put IU and PU in the same sentence concerning recruiting at this moment in time is laughable. Brohm can no doubt recruit, but Tom Allen is the media darling right now. HS kids all over the country are seeing how much his players love playing for him. Brohm is trying to recapture the past traditions at Purdue. Tom Allen is completely changing the culture of IU football. I doubt Indiana will ever win a national championship, but they can be a consistent 9-10 win team and go bowling every year. Kids see this. It makes Bloomington a desirable destination.
  14. I've been down on ND in the past. Never really cared if they played for a national title. But I've seen nothing that says Clemson is going to beat them by 14+. Lawrence might be a difference maker, but no. Cincinnati might get caught reading their press clippings and stumble against Tulsa. More likely the 1st meeting than the 2nd.
  15. I wasn’t using any logic. Florida is not going to beat Bama. The 4 best teams are there. As long as ND is not blown out they should be in it. edit: Just read your 4. Cannot wait to read your “logic” in putting Cincy in there.
  16. I think even if Clemson wins ND is still in the playoff.
  17. The post game interview on ABC was so much fun to watch. It summed up how the players feel about their coach! Tuttle was good enough to keep the line moving but he may be instructed to not run anymore! Keep the bucket, then the crossover game. Iowa lurking?
  18. No way they are moving to Illinois. Illinois is losing population because of tax rates.
  19. If no playoffs existed, would there have been a need for classes?
  20. Sounds more like you wanted to show off your band nerd expertise! All schools, regardless of size, march in the same competition at BOA. For Grand Nationals 3 champions are crowned based on semi-final scores. The top 12, regardless of size, march again in prime time for overall grand champion.
  21. They don’t “merge them down”. They still award a grand national champion in all 3 classes.
  22. Unfortunately, it is fair. Realistically we know neither Cincy nor BYU are top 4 teams. But, in the year of Covid, and considering bowl games are being cancelled right and left, why not go with 8 teams for this year only? Give them their shot. It would be fun to watch! I mean, who would have thought IU would be in the position they are in? They could be in that top 8 in 2 weeks!
  23. It is a torn Achilles.
  24. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/2020/11/30/iu-football-michael-penix-jr-expected-miss-remainder-season/6464552002/ Still “undisclosed” but probably done for the season.
