I'd say Avon was about 2/3 of a normal crowd, which would be somewhere around 3,000. With no band that probably had something to do with it. Kudos to the students though, who brought like I haven't seen in years, and stayed until the end! Lawrence North had somewhere around 100-150.

Avon is $6 and only online. I too have a senior pass that only expires when I do.

I mean, I have no inside info on this, but I don't doubt it. It's probably true to a certain extent at a lot of mega schools. Whether they are good enough to start at Avon or not, is debatable. But, they certainly would have been a positive on the depth chart. I know there have been Wayne Township students (Ben Davis) that have and do play for Avon. Brownsburg players transferring to Center Grove. All have different reasons, but open enrollment will see these results.

Agreed. And, I have to correct myself. Both polls have Ben Davis higher than the Bulldogs, so there. But, it should be a great game. And considering how BD has been a slow starter in recent years, Brownsburg has a heck of a chance!

Interesting that many are calling an Avon win an "upset", but no one is calling a BD win over Brownsburg an "upset". It is according to the rankings.

RB Sampson James, a former 4-star from Avon that initially flipped from OSU to IU, has entered the transfer portal. He did this previously but pulled out when a new RB coach was announced. Now, I think he saw the writing on the wall with being listed as a backup on the initial fall 2-deep roster. The young man needs to get his head straight and go to a MAC, or maybe even Marian University (or similar program).

Well, you're only as old as you feel. I get a feeling you feel a whole lot younger than your age! Attended a regional championship game @ the Reitz Bowl in 2005 (Avon 42 Evans. Reitz 35). It is indeed the best and most historic venue in the state. And even had Reitz won that game, I would still feel the same way.
