  1. Was looking at some of the schedules for the fall and noticed all of the Hoosier Heritage Conference games start at 7:30 pm. Really smart on their part IMO. Is this new or have they been doing this?
  2. I feel the title of this thread sheds unwarranted guilt on the superintendent. He was doing the right thing, but the board overruled him. Therefore he resigned. From The ICON, Hendricks County weekly publication: Superintendent Mike Springer resigned in October after the school board voted to go against his recommendation to fire the coach. https://myhcicon.com/suspended-tri-west-football-coach-and-teacher-arrested-on-charges-of-child-seduction/
  3. Of course everyone knows if you are offered a scholy at a P5 school you are NFL bound!
  4. Center Grove will be the favorite in 2020.
  5. IU or Purdue. But, if he really looked at the top 20 class Butler welcomes in 2020, he would realize his ability to score would be a perfect match for that team.
  6. No reason to think the HCC will be any different. Avon and Brownsburg both return experienced QB's. If they can find a running back.........
  7. ........or 8:00. That was the starting time back in my day.
  8. The beginning of the season is already too hot. Moving back further into summer makes it worse.
  9. My sources are telling me that tonight (Dec. 31) will be the end of 2019. I'm hearing rumors that the year 2020 will begin at that point. Happy New Year everyone! You too Temptation!
  10. It was good enough for Indystar! (OK, not saying very much!)
  11. Heard through the grapevine that Luke struggled with the decision to play QB this past season. He has zero interest in playing football in college. Basketball is his future. So, maybe he doesn't even play football his senior year.
  12. It's a gift from god. Or maybe just common sense.
  13. Kill this thread now. 10 team conferences do NOT add scheduling flexibility, as you maintain. Both the HCC and the MIC are happy the way they are. It actually allows each to play one another in the regular season. And Columbus North is not a good fit for either conference. They and CE need to join the Mid State, or both get in CI.
  14. Oh, sorry 'Center Grove. You have been given the kiss of death. No championships for you until at least 2022.
  15. He's lucky to have any rating being injured for 90% of his junior season. Now that the Drivel has chimed in, I'm pretty sure he's going to be a stud @ a D1 in 2021.
  16. Carson Steele is his own. Charlie Spegal is his own. Not fair to compare. I think this is the 1st of many D1 offers. If he is able to return to being the back he was before injuries he will be highly sought after by many non-P5 schools (and I think a few P5 schools).
  17. Looks like he took the annual Sagarin ratings and averaged them. Obviously it includes all games, including playoffs, but only against in-state foes.
  18. That wasn't going to happen anywhere on any level. Charlie will probably RS, where he will get plenty of time to put on muscle, be coached on technique, and practice against all those athletes that are obviously far better because they had more * by their name. I was always a fan of CS, now even more. When he gets into a game I will be rooting extra hard for him. As opposed to you feeling that IU was forced to play a player that scraped the bottom of the recruiting barrel. Time to find another made up controversy.
  19. Dullaghan would also be on Carmel's. Along with Dick Nyers, and Jim Belden. Not sure about the 4th.
  20. Thanks FPO! Very interesting! In a way it reminds me of the Fort Wayne Pistons of the NBA.
