The Varsity Starting D has given up 7 points all tournament (N. Put). All the other points scored against Webo have been against JV/Freshman. The D has been lights out and Coach Brunes has them playing well.

La Hacienda (right by the high school), Franks Place (up on the square in Danville), Los Patios all offer adult beverages. Mayberry is ok (no adult beverages)...

Congrats to Danville and Western Boone on Regional Titles! Danville will host Heritage Hills while Webo will travel to Triton Central both on Friday Night. Both are playing for a spot at Lucas Oil Statdium next weekend!

Justin Pelley... Not sure what defines "young"... In his 7th year as a HC.

Should be a really good game. HC QB has thrown for over 2200 yards (31 TDs & 8 Ints) looks like he spreads the ball around to his receivers and has a RB that has ran for over 1800. Wright has over 1100 yards passing (20 TDs & 3 Ints) and Webo has several different guys that can run the ball. Taylor has nearly 850 rushing, Wethington almost 650, Wright has over 400, then you have Irion, Hole, Baird... Webo averages 40 a game and gives up 11. HC Averages 35 a game and gives up 11. Looks to be a game on which D can stop the other O.

Heritage Christian & Scecina is intriguing as well. Obviously if Webo is fortunate enough to get by South Vermillion, we would play the winner in regionals.

So.... What does South V do well offensively? Who are their "dudes"?

I wouldn't say "they are nothing like they were last year..." Still have some pretty good players... The D isn't giving up many points... Running Game is probably better this year... Haven't had to throw the ball as much doesn't mean they can't.....

I honestly don't know what to expect. My questions would be can North Putnam slow down the Webo Offense? Can Webo slow down the NP passing attack?

I honestly have no idea what to expect. We are giving up less than 12 points a game and scoring 38 and NP is giving up 24 a game while scoring 30. Should be a good game on Friday night.

Better than Chatard/Danville in 01 (I think)?

I don't think Webo is the same team from week 2 (when Western beat them) to now. I don't think anyone would argue that Webo was deeper last year.... But I think they are a different team this year, Spencer doesn't have the numbers, but he hasn't had to either. They have been running the ball down people's throats, but with Spencer back there (along with Hole, Garrity, and others) the threat of him throwing is still there. So what do you stop? Do you stack the box and make Spencer throw? I like our chances... Do you play Nickel/Dime and take Spencer throwing the balll away? I like our chances with Wethington/Taylor/Irion running the ball. They have many more guys going both ways, but other than the 1 point loss to Western they have beat everyone pretty handily (the Danville game wasn't as close as the score). The Defense has been solid since the Western game and even with giving up 42 to them, they are still averaging less than 12 points a game.
