Memes 2.0 (since the OOB memes thread wasn't popular enough)

I have been in the Fort since 08. My impression is there are far more Steelers fans, with some Bears fans and a lot of Colts fans. The connection between Chicago and ND is that a LOT of students at ND came from Chicago in the early days of the school. I think there is a steady flow of them even today. There are other cities with a high population of Catholics that have a strong connection as well. NYC, Philly, and Boston included. Since the Order of St. Joseph priests started Cathedral over 100 years ago, Indy sent a good number there as well.

Welp, if they play like shit, might as well look the part. 🤣 let's see how much we can make our uniforms look like the Browns 🤣

I agree we do too much during the Summer. The problem is that non IHSAA groups will just step in to fill the void now. It's a double edged sword. Participation numbers in a number of football prgrams are down, while doing less increases what other travel teams do, that will result in fewer kids playing football as well.

This could be a huge blow to the defense. https://www.wishtv.com/sports/colts-lb-darius-leonard-placed-on-pup-list/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_WISH-TV&fbclid=IwAR2L2TlLBeAOaRn3ZkV0-8bwQgaYAdR-GdGMrdDkvw4wQYOINO0qUvAMeq8

Was saying this to friends last year....put IU in the West and see a different result. I have never really been a Fleck fan either. I still remember when he took over at Western Michigan. There were a few kids from the MIC that had committed to WMU. When Fleck took over, he revoked the offers to the players from Indiana schools.

Nope....Nothing is better than beating SC 🤣 My favorite moment from that championship game was Joe Montana being interviewed afterward. he holds up the horns sign and says now I know what this mean; we are number one in both polls.....Classic

I am not sure the tuition thing is accurate. I know we have had tuition transfers the last couple years. But they do have to maintain a level of academic performance. I know a couple kids that wanted to play football and basketball that were willing to be tuition transfers.

I am thinking this will be cool to see as the season goes ….not sure what to expect though, but still cool.

To clarify, the cluster system started in 1983. Prior to that, there was a point system to qualify.m -

House Democrats Revive Their Court-Packing Push
Irishman replied to Muda69's topic in OOB v2.0's OOB Forum
I never said they would have. Wasting time on hypotheticals here is pointless. My comments are based solely on what has actually happened. I have explained multiple times what expansion would do….bring in line the number of federal districts with the number of justices. Being an “originalist” is a joke. Do you mean the one the States originally ratified? When slavery was legal, but slaves were counted as 3/5 of a person? Did not allow women to vote? Or after slavery was made illegal? after white women were given the right to vote? Or when minority women being able to vote? Or does each originalist just get to pick and choose which amendments matter and which ones don’t? -
House Democrats Revive Their Court-Packing Push

Who was picked was NOT the point at all. My point, which I figured was REALLY obvious was that McConnell refused to hold hearings for Garland because he felt the incoming President should pick the next nominee. Trump was on his way out, but he did not wait to hold the hearings for Coney Barrett. Really disappointed I had to spell that out. And yes, there actually is justification for expanding the court, as I explained earlier........crazy how one sided you have become now. -
House Democrats Revive Their Court-Packing Push

Seriously? Never figured you would become so partisan to only see one side in this instance, one that has been so obviously partisan. Merrick Garland ring a bell? Then to do the exact opposite with the Coney-Barrett nomination? Granted, RBG's gamble bit the democrats BIG time. She should have retired while Obama was President. What would be the justification for expanding the court beyond the number of federal districts? What is the justification for having fewer justices than districts? The reality is that it will be viewed as stacking by the opposing side. -

The claim could easily be made that the GOP packed the current court though. It's not as though the number of justices serving has been set in stone. If the point of expanding to 9 was to have one justice per federal circuit courts, then with the current 13 districts, it makes sense to match that, right? -
Will be interesting to see how that plays out. If NBC just says no, will that push ND into a conference? Just seems NBC has lost interest over the last few years; especially when moving games to the recently extinct NBS Sports Network and this last season to the Peacock app.

Roe -V- Wade......Back at it again (finally?)
Irishman replied to swordfish's topic in OOB v2.0's OOB Forum
He is in the FO stage of the FA&FO process Word was he wanted to be Governor next. I think this attention he has sought hurts him. Looks like he is struggling on the fundraising side as well. https://indypolitics.org/campaign-cash-4/
