Are seniors allowed to play JV
AG replied to Trojanmp52's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Grades actually don't have anything to do with being on an academic team. I was an average, B- student and I was on academic teams. At Pioneer, there were several kids who were in choir who couldn't sing a lick, but took the class as an easy A. -
Are seniors allowed to play JV

Kids lives are the big picture. Football is ultimately just a game. Developing quality human beings is the ultimate goal, not winning or losing. They're not professionals. -
Will 2020 be a PP sweep?

Andrean is the highest ranked 2A team per polls and Sagarin. Until they are beaten, they are the team to beat in 2A. -
Being critical of your school?

Like I said earlier, it's about the kids, not winning or losing, especially this year. -
Being critical of your school?
AG replied to Whiting89's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
If you're going to be critical of your own school, prepare for some backlash. At the end of the day, this game is about the students and giving them the chance to grow and learn through this great game that we call football. Win, lose, draw, or even in a blowout, there are lessons to be learned. Taking that chance away from the students, at the end of the day, is selfish. At the end of the day, it's just a game. It can be hard to say that to a bunch of diehards, but it's the simple truth. -
New high school football programs
AG replied to AG's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Are you sure that isn't Bremen's new mascot? That "slug" almost looks like the lower case b in your profile picture. -
The winner of the probable Pioneer/LaVille game will crown an unofficial conference champion.

If you are aware of any Indiana high schools that are starting a new program, have in the last year and aren't tournament eligible yet, or know of any schools that are in discussions of starting a new program, share your knowledge here.

I remember watching a sectional game from the grass there 15 years ago and the view was great.

Pioneer 36 Triton 0 2 min til half

Pioneer was within 5 yards of a TD. Pioneer QB is picked off by Triton QB/DB Shively at the 1. On the very next play Triton fumbled in the endzone and a Pioneer player fell on it for a TD. Pioneer 16 Triton 0 end of 1

Early outlook on Mr. Football

How about the kid from Lafayette Jeff who was leading the country in rushing? -
RTC, the webcasting company that airs Pioneer games and other area schools, would always air commercials for local businesses during the webcast. I feel as if the $10 price tag is a knee jerk reaction that could be offset, at least by a few dollars, if schools did donation drives, advertisement runs, benefits, and etc to make up for lost fan revenue. If we are still facing this issue next season, I can see many schools becoming much more creative. Hopefully this PPV isn't something that sticks around permanently.

I like your predictions. I think that LaVille wins by a couple of TDs, but they might have issues with conditioning, injuries, ball control, and etc with it being their first game that might swing the game in Winamac's favor. Pioneer wins BIG Knox has been underwhelming so far this season. Bremen is really good and shouldn't have any issues with Triton. WC is struggling a lot.

Briggs: Purdue can’t beat COVID-19 with student sacrifice
AG replied to Muda69's topic in The Next Level
Hopefully Purdue didn't already build a temple for student sacrifice. Any idea where they could place it? I kid. -
My biggest issue is that I work every other Friday night, often until around 9 PM. I would catch the game as much as I could at work and then watch the rest if it still wasn't over. My other issue is that I paid a $5 monthly subscription fee to RTC for access to the Pioneer game. I then still didn't have any access and the PPV company wanted me to pay an additional $10.50. I normally watch by myself from home or work, because my wife and kids have limited interest, and I have for a few years now, all for free. I also live an hour South of Pioneer and I never make away games outside of Cass every other year, due to the majority of the away games being 2 hours drives and blowouts. I listened to the game on the radio instead, although a few away games won't even be broadcasted this year, probably due to a lack of social distancing. What irks me is that I was able to watch the Winamac and Caston games for free. I understand that Pioneer brings in a lot of viewers and that it will help the athletic department, but from what I've been told, the PPV feed didn't even have sound for a large portion, if not all, of the game. Also the camera work is often shoddy at best, as anyone can attest to who has ever watched very many webcasts. It's great as a free or $5 or less product, but I'm not paying $10.

Go Panthers! This is a game that will be talked about for decades to come.

Thanks for calling Pioneer Goliath!

Sounds like a great game. A Pioneer-Linton rematch sounds good to me as well.
