  1. Northrop and North Side will be non factors this year. There is more locker room reading material.
  2. I hope they bring him in when they play and beat a decent team, maybe bring him in for the OSU game. I guess second choice would be Cincy game. Other than that, not many exciting home games.
  3. A scrimmage is like sinking good putts on practice green. Doesn't mean anything on how you will putt on the course.
  4. Luers was not very good last year and they still beat a highly regarded Eastside. Think that is a product of them playing most of regular season games against teams that are 2-4 class up from them.
  5. Alex, the answer is "the North". So I would say the recent concern noted by DT is definitely not to big of a deal. No one was saying that the North was so dominate that change was needed after the 2019 game, did they? No game was played in 2020.
  6. Can't find any mention of him on any of the football recruiting sites. I remember watching him against South Adams and was very impressed. Probably to small to get any notice from non P5 FBS or FCS schools I'm wondering.
  7. On paper they (Cathedral) are the team to beat. Lots of things happen during course of season, should be a good one !! Probably more entertaining than 6A this year??
  8. I interested in knowing which past SAC conference players have made a team roster and played in the NFL. Not necessarily only looking for players that had a career in the league, spot playing time during a season or two as well. I'll start with what I know and looked up, thinkng there has to be more, interested if anyone can add any? Rod Woodson - Snider Jason Bates - Snider Vaughn Dunbar - Snider Jaylon Smith - Luers Anthony Spencer - Luers Rod Smith - Wayne Jason Baker - Wayne Tyler Eifert - Dwenger Bernard Pollard - South Side Lamar Smith - South Side Trai Essex - Harding James Hardy - Elmhurst
  9. Wow, I was way low. 17 D1 players, man they were loaded, Ha Ha.
  10. Zuck will lock you down anytime he wants too.
  11. Yeah, they had like 8-10+ D1/P5 recruits on that team, from what I heard. They were stacked, what happened ??
  12. Well, now that you clarified that, he may be able to achieve that status. Let's see how things play out in next 4-5 years.
  13. "Offensive lineman Demon Moore may be the best ever to come out of The SAC" I would think Mr. Woodson and Mr. Smith may disagree.
  14. Yes, I thought about that as well. But talent will rise to the top if he is that good. Could spend first 2-3 years as back up at upper P5 team, because they have the best of the best. Time will tell, many Indiana 4/5 stars try to go to the upper P5's and get lost in shuffle. My whole premise of comment is to hope a high level recuirt stays in state, hopefully IU or even PU.
  15. Regardless of W's & L's Hoosiers will have this year, I'm still on board thinking a kid like Curry can, as you say "showcase" his talents at IU. If he is that good, he would have chance to stand out on a roster loaded with 2/3 star players vs a roster with 4/5 stars. If he is that good, the cream will rise to the top regardless on where he plays. IU will be at least a 6-7 W team this year, a lot depends on QB, if Penix can play and stay heathy that will be the big factor. I think Tuttle can step up if needed, also interested in seeing Williams.
  16. Well, IMO, if he plays at a OSU or Bama type program, he may get lost in the mix. Going to a "up and going" good program would allow him to stand out among the 3 and few 4 stars and that may be a better showcase. Not saying this would be the case with him, but a few 4/5 star type Indiana high school players have gone to the "elite" P5's and washed out.
  17. Really needs to hop onto the Tom Allen Train!! ALL ABOARD. Support the state university.
