  1. Human nature has fans focusing on the mistakes that go against them rather than vice versa. Neither side tends to recognize the good calls. Without thinking too hard about it there are a couple that come to mind -- one for/against each team. Hauser appeared to catch the ball in-bounds but was signaled out. I don't think CG had possession of the ball on the alternate possession rule. Do you remember those plays and do you have any thoughts to share about the calls? Overall I have no complaints about the officiating and I'm grateful the refs don't get to publicly second guess the coaches. 😉
  2. Curry? What makes you think that?
  3. Where would we play? Sorry. Couldn't resist. 😁
  4. Maybe he should be but saying "hands down" is absurd. Position bias?
  5. Or will it be more about stat nerds that think it always has to go to the QB?
  6. I'm not saying otherwise. I was just responding to the OP.
  7. He might be Mr. Football but I would hope the voters look at more than one game.
  8. Defenses are impressive so far.
  9. Lutheran's size starting to wear AC down?
  10. Zero disagreement from me. But wasn't the ball marked on the 2? I took that to mean the ref thought he stepped out of bounds. Great crew including two friends of mine so I'm not trying to point fingers. Just curious.
  11. If Carmel had 20% of their student body on the roster it would be about 1,000 players. 🤣
  12. It's another still photo but this is where he launched.
  13. The Lutheran team looks huge for a 1A team.
  14. Should have been.
  15. Just saw where Prince Powell of Warren Central committed to Indiana State. Good for Coach Mallory to be getting some MIC talent.
  16. Cody Parkhurst entered the chat.
  17. I don't think anybody is ignoring anything. I think we will be pretty good next year but haven't really thought much about it. We will return 6-7 starters (depending on the day) and our JV was undefeated in the MIC. I'm not making any predictions other than CG will be pretty good next year.
  18. No way we sustain the current level of talent but we've played for a state championship 5 of the last 7 seasons so focusing on a 2.5 year stretch isn't reflective of much either. Are we still talking MIC or did we move on to state?
  19. I think it is human nature to put forth “good enough” effort rather than consistently giving “the best you’ve got”. When you are crushing your opponent every Friday night what is your motivation to try harder? You can apply that to coaches and players. Scheduling tougher opponents gives you that much needed reminder that you aren’t good enough yet. They get to play a game rather than have a bye.
  20. All four played. The DTs alternate since we were in a three man front pretty much the whole game.
  21. Yeah, Wheat and Carroll were the biggest names missing.
