    Sectional 17–Lowell will give Hobart everything they can handle. But the winner could easily advance to the State Finals. Sectional 28–KV is not there yet. New Prairie will win big.

    It’s unfortunate all of this last minute closing is going on. Then again, I don’t feel the administrators arrived at their decisions on a whim. They are giving the virus the respect that is so badly needed.

    It’s not just the players. Coaches, support staff, and fans are far from immune. Actually they’re at higher risk. Nor do I.

    I will not jump on the “DT is crazy” bandwagon. COVID is not going away, many of my daughter’s classmates are in quarantine, and many other football programs not named the IHSAA have been hit hard. Coach Jeff Brohm of Purdue University has it, many players at Notre Dame have had it, even the NFL has been affected. We made it through the season, good for us, but why risk anything further?

    Plenty of dark horses: Lafayette Jeff, Jasper, and Eastbrook just to name a few. It’s great we have teams like this among others threatening the blue bloods. Just another thing that makes football a great game and the blind draw (yeah, I said it) a thing of beauty.

    Yep Of Hobart, I’m pretty bummed the Hobart-Lowell game never happened. Or should I say yet as they could meet up in the Sectional final.

    The HNAC is a pretty solid conference. Triton has had some success in the past and Coach Younis isn’t some Johnny come lately.
