  1. Tri-Township School Corporation in Wanatah (near Valparaiso) will be e-learning until further notice. I don’t think TTSC has a football team.
  2. A Barrett at CC? What are the odds?
  3. I believe they are, I don’t think it’s set in stone. This is only my first so I’ll keep you posted, although the Post-Tribune could also be a good resource.
  4. Just reporting what I saw. I’m not saying if it’s right or wrong as I truly do not know that answer, just like everyone else.
  5. Lake Central, the largest high school in the region, has announced that school administrators have recommended e-learning should start the year off for the duration of one month. With that all, extra-curricular activities (I believe athletics is one) will be suspended during that time. Will there be a domino effect? By the way, this decision was based on scientific research, not just giving kids “something to do”.
  6. How ironic. That was the irony I was previously referring to.
  7. Southern Newton County is lovely the fall.
  8. Besides football, how much of a prize is Cathedral, or are they a one trick pony?
  9. Big assumption there. Hoping for the best...
  10. Good luck and stay safe!!! What we’re going up against, COVID-19, is on an almost unprecedented scale. I know Spanish Flu was also a pandemic, but things are different now and no virus is ever the same.
  11. I registered my kids for school yesterday. I normally get their class schedule with fee payment, but not this time. Weird.
  12. I just don’t see it as a thing. Or maybe it will go over like basketball at the Summer Olympics...
  13. I’m not attacking anyone, just making that abundantly clear. I think it’s more than safe to say we all want football in the fall from refs to broadcasters to former players to family and friends (as well as students) of the players, etc. But here’s the deal: there is a global health crisis that isn’t slowing down as no curve has been flattened.
  14. I don’t think that will happen as it would mess up the basketball season, which is the crown jewel of the IHS double A.
  15. It is not idiotic for one to hope the season will begin and ultimately end with six champions crowned in Indianapolis over Thanksgiving weekend. But if one follows national trends, the opposite may occur. We can only hope all turns out well.
  16. My son is in the same boat as yours. He’s been hanging out with his teammates all summer long.
  17. This is very true. Although I’m Catholic and my mother is a Chatard graduate, not everyone can afford a private school education. The Indianapolis metropolitan area has so many good schools to pick from so it doesn’t really matter if they go to Park-Tudor, Pike, or Ritter: they’ll get a good education.
  18. It’s much more than choosing to wear a mask or not.
  19. Exactly, time will tell, nothing else. I know we all want to get back to normal, but time is the only thing that will allow that.
  20. I think Brebeuf will be fine. Athletics is taken very seriously there.
  21. DT was not consulted, therefore the idea is null and void.
