It took almost as long to get to Franklin Central, as the length of the scrimmage. It's hard to get anywhere from the west side of Indy. It was worth the trip just to see Jaron Tibbs make an incredible leaping catch! Irish coach Bill Peebles got to see most, if not all, the players on the roster. It was good to hear the pads crack on a beautiful night for football, or any other outdoor endeavor. Nex up for the Irish will be a trip to Lafayette to play Jeff.

I've been told that Cathedral is trying to cap enrollment at 1100 or so. There just isn't much room on the hill.

You do realize that Plainfield has double the enrollment of Cathedral? Cathedral has enrollment of approximately 1100 students, and about half of those are young ladies, just to refresh your memory. Not all male students are all state caliber football players. In fact, a small percentage of Irish football players ae recruited to high D1 colleges. Hard work pays off at most private and parochial schools, both in the classroom and on the field of play. The Irish will play wherever they're placed1

Most pay the full tuition, or are granted a reduced tuition, as are students who are non athletes. And they are there, not their.

Taylor is a very nice young lady. I speak with her quite often at the Speedway in May.

The private and parochial schools are "content" with any student that can pay their tuition. Plus you don't know near as much about private and parochial schools as you think you do.

If it ain't Pacers or Colts, it ain't covered on the local sports segments. I guess that's all that counts.

It's hard for a school playing up two classes to match the depth of schools in that higher class. That's the major factor and the SF has kept traditional good football schools from piling up trophies. I think that was the major reason for the implementation of the SF. It is what it is and if it makes some folks happy, then it's a good thing I guess.

Gone too soon! He was a beast in his entire career, but especially at North Central. Condolences to all his friend and family!

Scrimmages next week and the regular season the week after and I'm ready to go! It must be August! I hope everyone is well and hope to see some of you in the upcoming weeks.

IMO, Ryan will be a large upgrade to the Colts QB position. Hopefully he's got a couple or three good years left in him. The Colts need a total upgrade at wide receiver. Maybe they have an eye on someone in the draft. And hopefully Campbell can get on the field for a full season and show that he's capable.

How about job performance in the last two games. It's been well know, long before he was a Colt, that Wentz wasn't a team player. He can be as devout and good to his family as he should, but he had a job to do.

I'm glad to see Wentz gone. He's never been a team player, and he probably will never be a team player. I'm just glad the Colts got something in return for him and the Commanders are playing his salary. Now it's time to find a real QB leader, someone who will make the team better. It's not gonna be easy.

I may watch the SB, and then? Even the commercials have become dull over the years.
