  1. The state of journalism in the State. I give you the Harvard-Texan author's bio: By Kendall Webb Joined: Jul 30, 2026 Kendall began covering high school sports in East Texas as a high school student in the late 1980s. He served as the sports editor for the Gladewater Mirror early in his career while attending Kilgore College where he received an Associate of Arts with a major in journalism. He later completed his Bachelor of Journalism at The University of Texas at Austin. Webb later founded the College Football America Yearbook, publishing an annual edition every year from 2011 through 2022. Webb added a Master of Liberal Arts with a major in journalism from Harvard University in 2023, simultaneously completing a Graduate Certificate in Digital Storytelling. He has also written for The Sporting News and remains a passionate fan of sports at all levels. He began contributing to High School On SI in 2026. https://www.facebook.com/roadtripsports/ x.com They all can't be Kyle Neddenrieps!
  2. Keep track of who has committed and been offered where! Please post reliable sources. Who is going to kick us off?
  3. Thank you for the input. What are the specific colors? They look like dark John Deere green and a "corn" yellow? Thankfully, I made the executive decision of no "awards stickers" for all teams. Also, I'm only doing the right side of the helmet which reduces the work by at least half.
  4. ETA: Madison-Grant does Vegas Gold and Oak Hill does Old Gold.
  5. Thanks for the input. That's almost impossible to do. I've tried on other designs, but I'll try again. They are likely to get a thick blue stripe down the crown of the helmet. I couldn't get Madison-Grant's diamond stripe right either, so they got traditional black/white stripes. Which one is Vegas and which one is Old Gold?

  8. Update: chinstrap, American Flag, and neck pad text.
  9. How do these look compared to their 2026 versions? Any input?
  10. These are the 2026 edition. I'll have to update it.
  11. Perfect. Chin guards and chinstraps are black?
  12. So I've heard. I was told "But it should be" in another thread. Can you post pictures or share a link to their 2026 version?
  13. Yeah, not sure how TC got on there, but hope the rest are close enough. That gosh dang owl took forever to get right.
  14. Any feedback on these? I used the most recent reference images I could find.
  15. Inherent *dis*advantages. The multiplier would reduce their combined enrollment by 25 percent. I think that's fair given the disadvantages like coordination, transportation, logistics, management, etc.. Averaging the two schools' enrollments is too much of an advantage. This meets it in the middle.
  16. How do these look? I went off the most recent photos I could find. Please let me know if there are any differences.
  17. How did I do on the helmets? See any issues?
  18. I've got a pole, you've got a poll, we've all got polls!
  19. Maybe someone from Tell City can explain how the agreement has worked with Cannelton in which student athletes from Cannelton have been allowed to play football at Tell City? Perhaps they all had some sort of residence exemption, but I thought it was a pretty common practice there. I'd be in favor of a 0.75 multiplier for co-op classifications. (School 1 Enrollment + School 2 Enrollment) * 0.75
  20. This is definitely more of a problem in metro areas ... much harder to create super teams when the two schools in the county are 30 minutes apart and some kids would have to drive nearly an hour to get to the other school.
  21. They have very nice helmets though -- at least the ones I could find.
  22. Are students -- without transferring -- currently allowed to play a sport at a different school if that sport is not offered at their school?
  23. Sorry, meant Mauck
