Those renovations have not been completed. So they haven't been "done" as you asked. Try again Scooter.

Hmm, that article is from June of  2017.

Andrean Fighitng 59ers (my in-laws from EVV love this one)

Attica Red Ramblers

Benton Central Bison (no s)

Cascade Cadets

Clarksville Generals

Crawford County Wolfpack (again, no s)

DeKalb Barons

Floyd Central Highlanders

Garrett Railroaders

Tie: Kankakee Valley Kougars, Kokomo WildKats, Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos (don't  y'all know how to spell, even my spell check disapproves)

Madison-Grant Argylls

Mitchell Bluejackets

Seymour Owls

Vincennes Alices

Whiting Oilers

Rumor has it that Hamilton Heights will soon be changing their Nickname to "The Renovators"

I stand corrected. There has been 1 renovation to the current HH high school since 1965.

Would have been tough to renovate it those first 30 years since it wasn't built until 1995.

And Whiting, IN, home of the Mascot Hall of Fame!!!!

Though, I think with BJ as the new HC, time to start the official petitions of ditching the Oilers and going to the Fighting Perogi's!!!!    Fits the staff's fitness well!!!   Cheers Mate

You've never met the locals... we try changing the mascot and all hell will break loose.  You're trying to get me fired!

A few that were overlooked (and with a little commentary):

Avon Orioles (noble bird)

Bedford North Lawrence Stars (would have preferred the old Stonecutters handle, but the former is uniques in its own right)

Columbus East Olympians (their tackle football squard seems to go for the gold)

Greenwood Woodmen (alliteration ats its best)

Marion Giants (so much for an iferiority complex)

Plainfield Quakers (wait? what?  Quakers are opposed to violence--society of friends...)

I love the Olympians football squard.  🙂

I couldn't believe it when I moved over to Illinois to find that a nearby high school had the names Injuns!

Lemont High School were named the Injuns until 2005.

Conversely, IHSA nicknames also include the Dolphins, Maroons, Saxons, Trevians, and Wooden Shoes...

They do, in fact, have an endzone camera. It was confirmed to me by another forum member. I have been told not to post about endzone cameras anymore, and I want to comply with that order, so I won't say anything else.
