3A looks accurate. The 1 vote for #1 of Mish Marian is cute though.

Sectional 28 and Sectional 32 are brutal....7 of the top 10 in those two alone  Whoever survives those two sectionals are definitely favorites to make it to LOS..but favorites or not they still have to play the game and win.  There are definitely teams outside of the 2 sectionals wanting to fight for that bone and will look to play spoiler

Stinky, Stink, Stink 1.2.3.

Those Tigers beat Greensburg

who was Ranked 14 teen....(by IFCA last week)

but this week those Tigers don't even get a vote....

Let Stink be the first to say....This must be a joke!

Not saying they don't have the others right

cause those teams in the top 10 are doing it right......

but to beat a "ranked" team by 32 and no love

makes Stink think they need to have some

Tiger BL's in order to get some votes????

My guess is people don't pay attention.

But the IFCA Poll is voted on by coaches, correct??  You'd think that coaches would pay attention.  I know in the end polls don't mean anything except for fans to have something to argue over, but it was odd to me.

Coaches are coaches, teachers, fathers, husbands first. A lot of demands on them.

Curious why Evansville Mater Dei would drop four spots in the poll playing 4A #4 to a one score game???  But other ranked teams that lost last week maintained their position, or fell one line.  Just wonder what the reasoning was???

Even better is Perry Central getting votes at all especially after getting beat soundly by paoli. Do coaches sign up for this or is it something all coaches do?

Splitting hairs here, but Carmel receiving a first place vote is a bit mind-boggling to me.  I know they have yet to play Warren and both have the same records, bit wouldn't the result of common opponents (Trinity, Center Grove) be the common sense tiebreaker here?

Both beat Center Grove at home and Warren's margin of victory was larger.  Both lost to Trinity.  Carmel was blown out and Warren lost by 3.

Nonetheless, interesting to look at.

shows the depth of 3a,   freaking LOADED class of Football

It would be interesting to know if there is another sectional or two which compare to those in 3A: #s 28 and 32. I know there have been tough sectionals in the past where the #1 and #2 might be in the same, but am not sure I have seen the top heavy load of these two within one class. In some regards it makes the win that much sweeter when the challenge is that much greater (perceived). Lots of football to go and who knows how it will end up, but it sure is looking like a potential blood bath coming up. Every player should want and welcome that challenge!

Transitive property is always reliable 😉

It’s not.  I get your point but what else is there to go on?  Don’t even tell me the “eye test” as those who compile these polls aren’t watching hours upon hours of other team’s film.

Polls are subjective and margin of victory and strength of schedule matter, especially when there is no head to head battle to rely upon...at the college level too.

Warren has the edge in both of the above categories.

Thankfully we will see it settled on the field in the coming weeks.
