I get that IU had a great season, but if you think any of those three defenses would have had an appreciably more difficult time than Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State did slowing down IU's offense, then I guess we just have to agree to disagree.

I wonder the last time Army AND Navy won a Bowl Game in the same season?

Iowa State and Miami was an entertaining game to watch, unless of course you love to see defense.

BYU is whippin' up on Colorado too.

I can't keep up with the names of the Bowls, so I don't even try.  I did chuckle at the Pop Tarts Bowl name though.

Sorry, lost all respect for Alabama when they got trounced at Oklahoma (same team that lost to Navy).

Looks like it is the first time both teams recorded double digit season victories in the same season.  Tremendous seasons by both academies.

Love the pregame interview with Coach Monken before the kickoff last night....the Army coach said they had a bad taste in their mouths from eating a SH*T sandwich in their loss over Navy and had to get that taste out of their mouths.  They looked much better in their bowl game....more like the team that won the American Athletic Conference.

Totally agree...I really like both Coach Monken and Coach Newberry.  Seems like they are perfect fits for the academies.

Yep, they sure did!  And that game one's arguably the best Bowl game of the week.

You're a better man than I am if you were able to stay awake for that game. I'm hoping to make to the third quarter of the ND/Georgia game.

I can nap during the day.  It's a benefit that comes with retirement.

So can I. It's a benefit that comes with working from home. I seriously hate these late night games. I'll probalby record it and watch it at four in the morning.

I'll be watching it live.  I couldn't sleep knowing that game is going on!  I stayed awake for the 2016 Cubs World Series win, and I had to be up at 5AM for my part time job.  I slept good after work though.

Lol, I refuse to lose sleep over sports anymore. Don't get me wrong, I'm Irish through and through when I'm not watching IU basketball. Just kidding, the only basketball I watch nowadays is ND women. But there's really nothing like waking up at 4am, brewing a pot of coffee, and watching a football game from the night before that you don't know the outcome of.

I too stayed up for that one with work the next morning.  That was history I could not miss. So excited with the outcome I could hardly fall asleep after the game.  I would do that again in a heartbeat!  Well worth the lack of sleep that night!!!

Very similar to the years the Blackhawks made their deep playoff runs. Those Pacific time zone games were a killer....especially the handful that went to OT.

That's ok, but I don't know what Navy beating half of Oklahoma's roster by 1 in a bowl game is supposed to tell us about a hypothetical game between Alabama and IU.

I’m just glad Connor Stallions was nice enough to rearrange his New Year’s Eve plans to help Michigan win this one.

Holding an offense that averages over 30 points per game to 10 could only be achieved by some sort of cheating.
