So I have been out of the loop when it comes to the NFL…

Just read that all the Colts need to do to make the playoffs are beat the Giants and Jacksonville and have Kansas City beat the Broncos next weekend?

The Chiefs are going to sit their starters, aren’t they?

Harbaugh does it again.  Chargers en route to clinching a playoff berth.

San Diego

Stanford

San Francisco

Michigan

Now the LA Chargers.

Damn, Connor Stallions is good.

Guy sure can coach.  Too bad the dysfunctional leadership of the bears didn’t hire him last offseason.

Very well could be. Over the last decade or so, every time they started hot, they would collapse at the end. I am guessing a lot of people, myself included were expecting it to happen again this season, but they have gotten better as the season has progressed.

Minnesota sports fans have suffered for a long damn time.  You could say that about Buffalo and Detroit also.

Would be neat to see one of those three pull it off.

At “least” the Bills had their 4 year run in the early 90’s. That could also be looked at as 4 consecutive kick to the nuts.

So what organization is in the worst shape? The Giants? The Jets? The Bears? The Colts? While arguments can be made for each, I am gonna go with the Jets. Similar to the Colts, they do not have a worthy starter. But they also let Rodgers make the calls for people to bring in. Adams was the only one that made sense.  And now their coaching search has Rex Ryan on their radar? I was never high on either of the Ryan twins as coaches. Always felt like they were the show. Rex has grown on me with his in studio job. I will always enjoy hearing coaches at any level talking x's and o's. Rex has already had one stint with the Jets.

Some interesting scenarios to consider going into the last week of the season. Several of these are pretty healthy bonuses. Several within reach in a single game as well, especially for Evans and Smith at the top of the list.

Tampa Bay and Seattle throwing in the run and shoot offense this weekend!  Hopkins thrilled to have a back-up QB playing instead of Mahomes.....🤪K. Murray calling his name down by the goalline regardless of the play the offensive coordinator calls....

How many calls will Geno Smith change?

And the Bucs are in a MUST win spot as well, so that helps Evans.

Anyone think coaches would ever purposely not go to said player to get bonus?  Maybe per management?

Man I would hope not.

Pagano was on the show and said that some calls are made in the front office. But I could see a coach ignoring it to help his players get what they earn. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

I agree 100%

The truth:

The decline of America displayed in 2 pictures of NFL Head Coaches.

On one hand, I agree. I like how people in general dressed prior to the 60's. Blue collar, white collar, didn't matter, people just dressed nice. You can't even go into a nice steak house anymore without someone sitting next to you wearing sweatshorts and a hoodie. But damn, McDaniel looks comfortable in that picture. If I'm a football coach on the sidelines for 3-4 hour game, I'm probably going the McDaniel, Belichick route. On second thought, maybe Freeman or Day. Freeman proves that you can look comfortable and smart at the same time.

Didn’t the NFL give Mike Nolan grief for wanting to wear a shirt and tie as HC of the Niners?  Something along the line of if he did wear a shirt and tie, it had to be NFL attire and they didn’t have NFL shirt and tie attire.

I can believe this.   Coaches on the sideline are just walking billboards for the NFL "drip" (stupid slang term btw).

But something like this would still work:

S: Head Coach Mike Ditka of the Chicago Bears on the field before a mid circa 1980's NFL football game at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. Ditka...

Simple classic perfection for an NFL head coach.

Interesting, I have no clue. I guess for what they get paid they should probably just wear what they're told.
