Washington Commander's wide receiver Terry McLaurin, is a real baller!  Just watching him tonight makes me proud that I had a chance to see the same kind of performance 3 years at Cathedral!  And, of course, the Colts could have drafted him, but they preferred Perris Campbell.

He's finally in a good spot now in Washington. Very good QB and an offense that is ready to produce. I watched most of that game. The Commander's OL gave Daniel's a lot of clean pockets.

Bengals Defense also lost to the hapless Pats offense

That's why I have long said, NFL is 17 independent events.    Anything that happened last week has zero impact on this week.   Parity and skill across the league is apparent. so comes down to player availability, scheme vs scheme, COACHING and Execution

That fact is still such a kick in the crotch to Colts fans...nothing like passing up a better player....and a young man from your hometown.....ugh!

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/41417497/favre-announces-parkinson-diagnosis-congressional-hearing

Quote

Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre disclosed during a congressional hearing on Tuesday that he was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, a degenerative nervous system disorder that causes parts of the brain to deteriorate and affects movement.

Speaking before the House Ways and Means Committee, Favre spoke about Prevacus, a company making a concussion drug that received $2 million of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds. Favre was the top investor in Prevacus, and text messages show he began asking state officials for help securing funds for the company in November 2018.

Sadly, I also lost an investment in a company that I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug I thought would help others," Favre said during opening remarks. "And I'm sure you'll understand why it's too late for me, because I've recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's. This is also a cause dear to my heart."

Prevacus' founder, Jacob VanLandingham, pleaded guilty to wire fraud in July, admitting that he used Mississippi welfare money to pay off gambling and other debts.

Favre spoke about his involvement in a sprawling Mississippi welfare case. At least $77 million in TANF funds, earmarked for poor families, were diverted to the rich and powerful, according to a 2019 Mississippi state audit.

When asked in a 2018 interview how many concussions he suffered, Favre, 54, said he knows of only "three or four" but believes he could have suffered more than 1,000 concussions during his 20-season NFL career.

"When you have ringing of the ears, seeing stars, that's a concussion," Favre told the "Today" show. "And if that is a concussion, I've had hundreds, maybe thousands, throughout my career, which is frightening."

Best of luck to Mr. Favre and his family.  Sad news.

Ex-Vikings QB Kramer says he has dementia, inspired to share by Favre’s revelation of Parkinson’s: https://apnews.com/article/vikings-tommy-kramer-dementia-3269fa9b93ad057f919367d29581b752

Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tommy Kramer has been diagnosed with dementia, he announced on social media.

The 69-year-old Kramer, who played 13 of his 14 seasons in the NFL with the Vikings and made the Pro Bowl after leading the league in passer rating in 1986, posted on his X account Wednesday that he was formally diagnosed with the cognitive decline a little more than year ago at the Cleveland Clinic as part of a health and wellness program for former NFL players.

Kramer said he was inspired to share about his condition after the revelation Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre made Tuesday during a congressional hearing that he has Parkinson’s disease. Kramer said his doctors told him at his one-year checkup that the dementia hasn’t advanced and that he has stopped consuming alcohol to better cope with it.

“Please, no sympathy,” Kramer wrote. “I’ve lived a great life and wouldn’t change a thing. Nobody wanted to win more than me and I never gave up, and that’s exactly how I’m going to battle this.”

Kramer, a native of San Antonio, was drafted in the first round out of Rice by the Vikings in 1977. He was given the nickname “Two-Minute Tommy” for his late-game success, most famously a 46-yard Hail Mary pass for a touchdown in 1980 that was tipped and caught with one hand by Ahmad Rashad to cap a comeback victory over Cleveland that clinched a division title for Minnesota. Kramer passed for 456 yards and four touchdowns in that game.

Kramer is second in Vikings history in passing yards, behind Hall of Fame member Fran Tarkenton, but much of his career was interrupted by injuries. He became the starter in 1979, the only season in which he played all 16 games. Kramer played his final NFL season in 1990 for New Orleans.

Best TD I've seen of this young season so far:

That play brings back memories. When I was a sophomore at St. Ed’s playing scout team QB, I drew that one up in the huddle, and we ran it for a TD against the varsity. After practice 2 senior defensive linemen stuffed me in a trash can … upside down.

Would you support that happening today in our HS?  why or why not?

You seemed to have turned out okay !!!   🙂

I took it as a sign of respect … or, at least, acknowledgement.

Now that I think of it, I may have been a victim of hazing! Perhaps I’m entitled to some compensation. 🤣😂

Couldn't agree more......  Add Sarah Spain to that list too.

Clown Show

Oh, man does Sara Spain annoy me. She's the stereotype of LIberal Elitist. Grew up in pristine Lake Forest, IL, Ivy League educated and married a millionaire Chicago businessman. Loves to educate others on their wrong ways. She criticized Barstool for exploiting women, yet she literally sold herself for tickets and a paid expenses to the Bears / Colts Superbowl. She's also been called out for bullying otheer women in Bristol.
