NE8_Fan Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Dwenger at Brownsburg......brutal 2 game stretch to start the season North Side at Northridge.....hard-nosed discipline always beats undisciplined talent Wayne At Crispus Attucks.....may be the start of a solid season for the Generals Hamilton SE at Carroll.....the Jimmy Sullivan final season tour begins Homestead at Carmel.....this hasn't been our "regular" Homestead program for a few years, but White will make them better this year Scecina at Concordia.....Cadets needs to prove something to somebody, especially themselves Leo at Luers.....this is NOT last years Leo squad, SERIOUS problem at QB position, Schott & defense will keep them in it but scoring points will be a problem Marion at South Side.....Year 2 under Goodwell is looking positive New Haven at Northrop....Dawgs in same boat as Leo, just lost too much on offense. Warren Central at Snider.....Panthers will ALWAYS be tough to bet against with the steady talent and coaching staff they have Quote
IPFWFootball Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Dwenger at Brownsburg...Hearing BD should be better this year. Still quite the gap to catch up to the Bulldogs. Brownsburg by 35 North Side at Northridge...North has all the talent in the world, but can they harness it for the best? History says no...Northridge by 14 Wayne At Crispus Attucks...Is this the year Wayne lives up to the hype? A big win week 1 will add fuel to the fire...Wayne by 30 Hamilton SE at Carroll...Last years game was heavy for HES revenge. Should be another great game...Chargers by 7 Homestead at Carmel...Homestead almost pulled the stunner Week 1 last year. Think this year Carmel will be ready..Carmel by 20 Scecina at Concordia...Cadets have a lot to prove they aren't the worst team in NEI this season...Scecina by 24 Leo at Luers...Lions have a lot to replace, but think they'll have a few more playmakers to squeak it out...Lions by 4 Marion at South Side...Archers get a much needed program victory...South by 7 New Haven at Northrop...how does New Haven respond to a sudden coaching change? Can Northrop get the ball to playmakers?...New Haven by 12 Warren Central at Snider...been hearing this may be an old school power run Snider type team this year, if they control the tempo they'll control a lot of games...Snider by 10 Quote
Justasportsfan Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 (edited) The cyo ranks have been pulled upon n dwenger looks determined with their dawn workouts..if they can catch Brownsburg sleep walking they have a chance to keep it close..at least until the 2nd half.. I know the Legends lack discipline however they do have skill along with size on their D Line..I'll give them the upset..only if the coaches coach and keep their emotions in check.. Hadydock has d1 talent on the roster this year with his Generals..they should be able to cruise late.. Dinan has his D1 qb n should wreak havoc on opposing defenses this year. However, HSE has enough talent to overcome the great qb whisperer of the sac. Sparty has a hidden gem on offense at qb..greyhounds have not lost to them ever if I recall (98)?..don't see this being the year they do.. Cadets need a little magic to get back on track..they gain so much in the regular season..playoff time should be their goal..nothing wrong with taking a week 1 L. Knights have coach K..just like at Duke when their coach K roamed the sidelines..don't bet against n I can't either..they win early.. Archers seem to have some hype around them this year..maybe too much..until their line play improves ill stick with the Giants in this one.. Bulldogs bark..n eventually bite the upstart bruins..the talent from the Harding district now wear purple n gold..they overwhelm Bowens boys early 2nd half.. Black n gold game..warriors have a ton of talent up front where the panthers appear to lack size..I was wrong last year n would love to eat crow again this year yet my mind says warriors pull away late.. BTF Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 1998: Homestead 27, Carmel 3 Carmel was actually pretty good that year. They had three prior losses, each by 3pts. Homestead was their fourth loss. Homestead beat a VERY good Snider team that year before getting wasted 35-14 by Rex Grossman led Bloomington South. That score shocked me, I thought the Spartans were going to take it. 1 Quote
kdets89 Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 Dwenger at Brownsburg North Side at Northridge Wayne At Crispus Attucks Hamilton SE at Carroll Homestead at Carmel Scecina at Concordia Scecina graduated 100% of last years passing yards (3-yr starter DJ Mendez), 70% of last years receiving yards, and a third of last years rushing yards (mainly Mendez). They also have a new coach this year after HOFer Ott Hurrle retired. If the Cadets are looking to rebound this year, it needs to start this week. This will be their best opportunity for a win. BTF Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 Dwenger @ Brownsburg - I really don't see how this one is close unless Brownburg falls asleep and Dwenger plays the game of their lives. Bulldogs by 35 North Side @ Northridge - Legends bounce back like a yoyo this year and do what everyone expected them to do last year, beat Northridge. Legends by 7 Wayne @ Crispus Attucks - No chance for the Tigers...........unless Wayne falls asleep on the bus ride there. Generals by 28 HSE @ Carroll - The last two game were very competitive, expect this one to be no different. Winner takes a leap toward the top of 6A. Gimmie the Chargers at home. Carroll by 3 Homestead @ Carmel - Not convinced yet that this will be a great year for Homestead. Both teams have something to prove to their naysayers, but I like the Greyhounds in this one. Carmel by 14 Scecina @ Concordia - The Cadets are up-trending while the Crusaders are down-trending. This game will be closer than last year. Crusaders by 7 Leo @ Luers - Both programs will be solid this year, it's a pick'em game for me. But I think the Miami commit will be the difference maker. Lions by 7 Marion @ South Side - This is another pick'em game. I need to see something from South to start picking them though. Giants by 7 Northrop @ New Haven - Same as above, pick'em. Northrop hasn't shown me anything. New Haven downtrends this year. I think the Bulldogs program is a little more solid though. New Haven by 7 Warren Central @ Snider - Snider's difficult to beat when they have extra time to prepare. Both teams return some dudes and Warren scored big in the transfer portal. This years game will be close, another pick'em, but I'll take the home team. Panthers by 3 Quote

psaboy Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 Dwenger at Brownsburg - Brownsburg by 20+ North Side at Northridge - North gets revenge from last year, win by 6. But they need to play like a team and get leadership from staff Wayne At Crispus Attucks - Wayne by 17 Hamilton SE at Carroll - Jimmy passes for 250+ and Chargers win on last possession Homestead at Carmel - Homestead plays good, but Carmel a bit better, Hounds by 10 Scecina at Concordia - Concordia by 1 Leo at Luers - Luers by 6 Marion at South Side - I think South Side started building blocks for better program last year, should get them win, say by 10 New Haven at Northrop - Bruins surprise, win by 9 Warren Central at Snider - Snider jumps out to early lead, WC's depth brings them back for W in OT. Northridge 35 - North Side 14 - Some are buying into the hype on State and Clinton, not me. Wayne 56 -Attucks 13 - Blowout city Carroll 27 - HSE - 21 - Barn burner in the Fort. Carmel 28 - Homestead 14 - Sparty has alot to prove everyone, maybe they could start by beating Carmel. Scecina 35 -Concordia 27 - Cadets need to step up from last years disastrous season. Leo 28 - Luers 21 - Always tough to win at Luers, Lions find a way. South Side 21 - Marion 15 - Can’t believe I am picking the Archers… New Haven 35 - Northrop 14 - Hapless Bruins in for another long year… Snider 24 - Warren Central 21 - I really have no idea what to expect from this game. Snider is undersized on the line, but there have been many years that has been the case and they find a way. I want to see how the transfer RB from Lakeland that had 1,500 last year as a sophomore fits in, QB Vance needs to avoid turnovers, and Logan needs to be the best player on the field. I know this, Snider won’t be intimidated by Warren in the least. Game really could go either way… Edited August 21, 2024 by Komets2727 1 Quote
