Tippy Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 There are so many OH MY's that I can't keep up with all of them. If you have an OH MY, post it. Attica has only scored 1 touchdown so far this season, 7 points against Tri-County. This is the worst Attica team in school history. This team is worse than the 2002 Attica team that went 0-10 and only scored 33 points. Attica plays 7-0 South Vermillion the last game of the season. "OH MY" Lafayette Jeff has scored 70 points the last two weeks. They beat Richmond 70-0 and Marion 70-28. Jeff has never scored 70 or more points two weeks in a row. I bet the Jeff basketball team won't even score 70 points on Richmond and Marion. "OH MY" Brebeuf beat Terre Haute South 83-65. That is the most points scored on THS in school history. Cascade could finish 9-0 this season. They have never been 9-0 before. This is their best team since 2006 when they finished 10-2. Tri-West beat North Montgomery 70-0 last Friday. That was the worst loss in North Montgomery history. NM won state twice in the 1990's, but that was then and this is now. If NM plays like that this week, Frankfort could beat them. "OH MY" Quote

It hasn't been easy for Attica and I wish them all the best. Most teams go through bad years like this. Ten years from now Attica could be 9-0. I am proud of the Attica players and coaches for showing up everyday and doing the best they can. I hope South Vermillion leaves Attica alone, because that could be an ugly game. Quote
FastpacedO Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 My "Oh Wow" that may not be worthy to most. He was talked about quite frequently early in his career as a Head Coach. Not many mention him nearly as much, but he still has quite the impressive coaching record. New Palestine Kyle Ralph 12 season at New Pal and a record of 133-14 (8 of those losses have been the last 3 seasons). 12 years and only 14 losses is pretty impressive. 1 Quote

OH MY indeed I've been to all their games this year and it's crazy how efficient they are on offense. It's not like they are beating complete nobodies. They are playing a decent schedule (two 6A teams, Roncalli, Chatard, Geurin and even though Terre Haute only has 1 win they have a really tough schedule and 3 of their other 4 losses were by 4 or less). Brebeuf posted the stats for the Terre Haute game on twitter and they had those 83 points on only 14 minutes and 28 seconds of possession. On top of that, 1 minute and 30 seconds was kneel downs at the end. So, they scored 12 TD in basically 13 minutes of game time. They've had 49 points at Halftime in 3 games this year (Harrison, Guerin and THS). The games take forever because there are so many stoppages of play after all the scores. As a parent of a player who dresses varsity and JV, it's tough not getting home until almost midnight for some of these games and then having to get up early to get on the bus for the JV game the next morning. PHJIrish Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Cathedral's win against Center Grove, 49-45, was very entertaining, unless of course you prefer a defensive battle. I really enjoy watching two skilled teams going at it. Lots of big plays, and the Irish even played a bit of defense in the 4th quarter. Quote

Record under the current AD and coaching staff is currently 9-57. And the vast majority of those losses were 36+ points blowouts, not competitive at all. Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Doesn't Frankfort start a new conference next year?? Quote
Bash Riprock Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Coach Eric Moore, Center Grove, earned his 300th overall win this season. 250 of those have been at Center Grove. Quote

Yes, they are a charter member of the new Monon Athletic Conference: https://www.mononathleticconference.com/schools.html But I don't expect much to change. Frankfort was also a charter member of the venerable North Central Conference, but lack of town and school growth when compared to the other member schools eventually forced it out in 1967, where they joined the new Sagamore Conference. Coach Nowlin Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Better than the Sagamore Perhaps get some sort of momentum going in the MAC Quote
