Congrats to all of the 2025 PAC All-Conference players!

2025 Football All Conference.jpg

Remind me of the voting process.
Teams nominate X players based on conference standings. Any player nominated is either voted to the team or ends up honorable mention. Is that correct?

I think I like that process.

I think I like that process.

Teams can nominate an unlimited number of players and there is no set number for X amount.

Thought Pledger would have made it on the first team somewhere like on defense. Oh well, I'm sure he'll make all-area and maybe all-state. He ran hard in the playoffs and made some heads turn, I'm sure.

You can show out as the best player on the team, but if the coach doesn't put you up for it, it doesn't happen.

I'm not sure if the replacement will go to a current assistant or an external candidate, but what a run with Coach Wilkerson at the helm!  My two sons played for Todd and his staff.  You couldn't find a better role model/mentor for the players, and he was great with the parents.

I believe these results are accurate:

2012 - 2025     122-46 record

4 PAC titles, 5 Sectional titles, 5 Regional titles, 3 Semi-state titles, 1 state title

For the second year in a row, Former Princeton and  current Heritage Hills Athletic Director Englebrecht will have to hire a football coach. While this job is obviously more attractive then the Princeton job, there is definitely a lot more expectations this time. Are there teaching jobs open? Does this position get filled from the current staff? Is there a deadline? At Princeton, he stated he wanted to get it right and he took over six months to make a decision.   After a three win first season, his Princeton decision was considered a success.....if his next hire has a three win season , the A.D. may be looking for a new job also.

Will be interesting for sure.  I always just assumed (based on no input from anyone) that it would be Temple.  No real reason other than he seemed to be a leader of sorts when watching them on the sideline.

There is a likely guy, I'm not going to say that name, most know who that would be.  Outside of him there are 2 other possibilities currently on the staff.  I would say that this will be opened up to the outside and see what it attracts.  Like you said, our new AD really doesn't want to screw this up.  A 3 win season?  Yeah, that may be success at Princeton but we have only had 3 or 4 losing seasons in 50 years.  We all are aware of the expectation.  I have my hope for who the next guy will be.....we will see.

Ok so since you did say the name....😀

Kevin is the natural choice, but he is the Vice Principle now.  There was question when he became VP if he would even be able to continue as an assistant.  His VP job could possibly stand in the way of being head coach.  They made Alcorn quit as wrestling coach when he became an admin.

Are there many Former HH players that are coaching around the state that may want to come back? I don't see anyone without ties to HH getting this job.

Alex Bettag at Roncalli, who was previously at Southport is an example.  But who wants to come back?  Who knows?

Not many people could've carried the torch from Coach Clayton, but he did that and more. Enjoy retirement!

Being from around here - I remember the heat being REAL hot on Coach after that 2013 season. Duplicating what Clayton did was going to be impossible, but I'm glad he got the ship righted and people backed off (a bit at least). Coach Wilk is a great dude...hope he enjoys whatever is next for him.

Todd Wilkerson record
Year School Won Lost Title Class
2012 Heritage Hills 5 5   3
2013 Heritage Hills 2 8   3
2014 Heritage Hills 12 2 regional 3
2015 Heritage Hills 8 2   3
2016 Heritage Hills 7 3   3
2017 Heritage Hills 5 5   3
2018 Heritage Hills 10 1   3
2019 Heritage Hills 14 1 semistate 3
2020 Heritage Hills 4 6   3
2021 Heritage Hills 9 3   3
2022 Heritage Hills 7 5   3
2023 Heritage Hills 13 2 semistate 3
2024 Heritage Hills 14 1 state 3
2025 Heritage Hills 12 2 regional 4

I assume this will be filled pretty quickly. I have no new insights. I trust the institution of Patriot football to find the next replacement. I believe they will do a great job and won't miss a beat next year. Small request would be Wishbone in goal line situations. 😛

2023 Heritage Hills 13 2 semistate 3

As I look through this the double digit win seasons all seem to have someone named Crews, Sigler or Goldsberry on the team.

Hopefully he plays immediately.  My advice to any young player in the current landscape of college football is to go where you will play immediately.  You can transfer later.  It looks like Brady would have been better served to start at ISU (or a similar place) then transfer to a big school later.  Best of luck to him.

He will play immediately.....he will ball out and get some great film.  Then back to an FBS school next year I'd imagine.
