TigerFan20 Posted July 20, 2025 Author Posted July 20, 2025 How did the 7v7 turn out yesterday, other than the rain ending it early. Quote

It was going really well until the weather had other plans. Great turnout, the setup was working well, and there was some great football being played. Gave us a little taste of what it could be! 1 Quote

The offense looked like you would expect a Hart offense to look! However....they seemed really undersized on both lines to me and that could be a challenge for them in the SIAC this season. 1 Quote

I wonder if they will do a QB change this season, since it seems like Derek Hart prefers the spread judging by his his previous stints. Or they mix it up with the 2 QBs they have and both get playing time. I remember seeing something about that when he got hired. Quote

I feel like on varsity, it was pretty much #15 all day, who is a very nice high school QB. He was able to get the ball to the perimeter for screens, slants, hitches etc. The problem will be the run game and defending the run. Edited July 22, 2025 by Titan32 Quote

Yup, very intrigued to see what a primary Spread Offense from Jasper looks like after long years of the wishbone. And how Memorial’s offense looks under a new QB. Mentions most of the SIAC QB’s. A lot of good talent in the conference. 1 Quote
AW0352 Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 With Reitz announcing their 9th opponent for the next two years makes me wonder what the other 8 SIAC teams are gonna do. Would be really cool for other SIAC and PAC teams to do the same as Reitz and GS and make some doubleheaders. Castle and Boonville makes sense. Jasper and Heritage Hills. Memorial and Southridge. Etc. Quote
AW0352 Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 Now that Reitz has their next two nonconference games lined up, it would be nice if the rest of the conference made all of their nonconference games on the same week. I would think that could really help with scheduling. Or maybe that’s backwards. Maybe it would make it harder. Quote

Great in theory but mathematically impossible with an odd (9) number of teams. It works for Reitz, but they are the only team with a non-conference game week 2. Jasper (week 9) already filled their opening with CN. Quote
