TigerFan20 Posted September 14, 2025 Author Posted September 14, 2025 Did anyone figure out the timeout issue around the 0:15 seconds mark. I think it was 1st and goal at the 9 for Memorial. A lot of people were confused who called it. Quote
tango Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Memorial called TO. Many are calling it the Lazarus TO. Quote

They said one of their main reasons was they didn’t want the games to run late into the night. I know they weren’t too happy with Memorial making the Reitz/Memorial Sectional Championship at 7:00 pm back in 2023. And I think there were some issues with the Castle-Memorial game last year at Bosse Field. 1 Quote
AW0352 Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 30 minutes later? The standard start time for all hs games in the state? It makes no sense. Quote

tango Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 WTF with the Reitz score? I thought they had an identity change last week?? I'm shocked that MD lost to Jasper. Quote
LC_Bears_04 Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 Impressive win by Jasper. I think they showed their win over Reitz wasn't a fluke. 1 Quote

Titan32 Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 (edited) The SIAC looking more and more like several teams could win on any given Friday at the top tier. 🤔 Edited September 20, 2025 by Titan32 Quote
TransplantedPanther Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 Officials were terrible at the Reitz/Central game last night. Watch the film. That’s all I will say on that matter. The fact that my nephew even walked off the field last night shocked me. Quote

Their backup QB did take the lead late mid 4Q, but Jasper responded with a 65 yard passing TD on their next drive to quickly retake the lead. Quote

Is it simply the speed and strength of today’s athletes? It seems like most teams have one or two. Quote

TigerFan20 Posted September 22, 2025 Author Posted September 22, 2025 Standings through Week 5: 1. Memorial 5-0 (-) 2. Castle 4-1 (1) 3. Reitz 4-1 (1) 4. Jasper 4-1 (1) 5. North 3-2 (2) 6. Mater Dei 2-3 (3) 7. Lincoln 2-3 (3) 8. Central 1-4 (4) 9. Harrison 0-5 (5) 10. Bosse 0-5 (5) Though it was a very long shot, but Bosse and Harrison were eliminated from SIAC contention following both of their losses and Memorial’s win. Central would need a lot of help, but they will be eliminated with a Memorial win and a loss to Jasper. Mater Dei and Lincoln are still alive in the race. However, a Mater Dei loss to North and a Memorial eliminates them from contention. Lincoln should be able to hold on for another week, but a loss to Harrison and a Memorial win eliminates them. A Memorial loss to Bosse would keep them alive no matter their outcome this week. Also, wins by Lincoln (Central) and Mater Dei (North) will keep them alive even with a Memorial win. Big matchup this week with Reitz at Castle, as heavy implications are on the line between those two teams. Quote

I had heard from coaches and fans in prior weeks but thought "oh it's Central, that's just how they're known to be". But when you've heard it or seen it 5 weeks in a row, it starts to be substantiated. And as bad as it is, unfortunately it's difficult for referee crews to officiate games like that and maintain control. Quote
