Bears fans, rejoice! Sorry, @Irishman.

I know the Bears are 2-1 this season vs. the MLF lead Packers, but let’s not think the Bears blew the Packers out or anything.  Those were 3 really hard fought games.

All that counts is the Bears are preparing for the Rams, and the Packers are lining up golf tee times.

Missed FGs, and one after a delay of game penalty where the 5 yards could have madea difference. Add to it, that delay was after a time out.

Missed PAT

2 huge kick returns given up to set up short fields to score.

Cannot run the ball and no adjustments in blocking for that.

Too often there was no hot route at all for the blitzes Chicago ran.

Most of these things have been a problem not just this season, but for as long as LaFleur has been a head coach here. He is supposed to be talking with team leaders about an extension. He should be told to hit the road. he is not going to get them to a super bowl.

I think its high time you drop the Pack and makes the Colts your number one team.  Avoid the frustration of having expectations.....

Really want to hear from @Irishman on the proposed extension with LaFleur.

My HOPE is they low ball him and they agree to part ways. Then maybe work out a trade to regain some picks they have lost in recent years, including a first round pick this year.

My bottom line is LaFleur is not the guy to get them to a Super Bowl. He is a decent play caller, but a horrible game manager. I will be disappointed if he agrees to an extension.

While the Packers deserved to lose, this is something George Halas would have never said, or as an owner, allow his coach to say. Appreciate the rivalry and the intensity that comes with it, but be better Ben.

HARD PASS ON THIS OPINION

Only difference these days from the 100000s of other locker rooms is the fact.camera follow everyone everywhere in 2026

I say CRANK IT UP BEN

When you have TO CHANGE MINDSET, especially when comes to this particular ORG vs the Bears Org,  yes,  INJECT THIS ALL IN MY VEINS and then some more.

BEN JOHNSON says YOUR DECADES of dominance is OVER or least you will need to actually show up unlike the Packers teams from the last 15 years when the division too busy waddling in obscurity

I don’t recall the announcers making much of this, but they were talking about Stevenson (I think) jogging while Love was running to gain a 1/10 and still in bounds.  I get not hurting your team with a late hit, but man was it a bad look for Stevenson.  Your clip provided, yeah, gotta get physical there for the boys.

He has been hampered with some soft tissue issues, however, from the angle of my seats, (c0oming right at me, there was NO WAY, he could of cut LOVE off to the stick, so nothing to see here, but understand the questioning of that particular player.........

Not sure. My best guess was when Johnson was named head coach, he said one thing he enjoyed doing was beating Matt LaFleur twice a year. LaFleur responded as though he did not even know the guy. The handshakes have always been quick. Looked like Johnson had some things to say as he approached LaFleur before the handshake last night.

Thanks Irish....just was wondering why the disdain and assumed they had crossed paths earlier.  Kind of stange if LaFleur doesn't know him

OH MY GENTS:

The horror of Coach Ben Johnson not kneeling and rolling out the Red Carpet from the Bitter Rivals, overall THORN and Nemesis of the BEARS ORGANIZATION and a TEAM that has absolutely THROTTLED and made them their whipping boys since The Magic Man, to Favre, to AROD to whatever you want to call this regime.....  Bears finally have a front office and MORE IMPORTANTLY a Head Coach who does NOT cater to anyone and absolutely changed the mindset of the Bears locker room....

Oh poor Packers fans....  they didn't hug at mid field.... .perhaps their DC should have been a bit more in house with his assessment of the upcoming game, same from a couple of their players,  eye ball emoji. NIXON.....     Just a suggestion....

I don’t buy it that the only difference between now and then is cameras in the locker room. On two separate occasions Papa Bear saved the Green Bay franchise. Did he want to beat Lambeau and Lombardi? No question about it. Maybe he did say f them in the locker room or meeting rooms. I don’t buy it. Maybe the cameras being there is the difference, but Johnson knew they were there. We all know in this game you have your time on top and you have your time of getting taken to the wood shed. Handle the moment better and with more class. Johnson referred to all the chirping he heard from the Packers…..players? Fans? Maybe. But never from the coaches. Johnson has a hard on for LaFleur for god knows what reason. This isn’t pro wrestling.

Ryan Clark was asked on the pregame show what it was like to play for Mike Tomlin on a stage like this, and he said the same he was on week 1. They were down 21-7 in a playoff game, and instead of focusing on mistakes, Tomlin calmly said, this comeback is going to be epic. Watch this locker room when we come back. I am willing to bet he never once said F the Ravens or other rivals. Same with John Harbaugh about their rivals. Cameras were all over the Cowboys locker rooms when Jimmy Johnson coached. Never once did you hear him say F the Eagles, Giants, or Redskins. In fact it was always How about them Cowboys!

Celebrate your team instead of MFing the opponents.

I appreciate AUTHENTICITY

Did you check out Coach Johnson's presser today?   DOUBLE DOWNED

I DO NOT LIKE THAT TEAM

THIS IS A RIVALRY

CHANGE THE MINDSET

He started it DAY 1, "I really enjoy beating Mike LaFleur twice a year".

Played 3 games in 35 days or something like, against the organizations most BITTER and long standing Organization that has been in their way since DAY 1 of GSH and VINCE

AUTHENTIC and DELIVERED this year (and packers will not go away any time soon imo)

Worth a listen from someone who has been in locker rooms at that level

PRO WRESTLING = ENTERTAINMENT

NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE = ???

Any other answer other than entertainment is simply wrong

I mean we laud the entertainment factors of Mike Leach and how he did things.......

We get bored with can answers in press conferences.

An extremely confident coach not afraid to share is authentic thoughts of his employers bitter rival is bad......  OOOOOH KAY

cmon

CBJ even when asked today, ( you should check it out) YES, I have talked to GEORGE..... we share the same vision ......

What's next?  Bears players need to apologize for wearing cheese graters on their heads on live tv and grating cheese?

How would George Halas have handled winning that game?

How would Vince Lombardi have handled winning that game?

The pro wrestling comment was about the hype around it being fake because it's all scripted.

The Mike Leach comparison does not fit. He never said F ________________________ when his teams beat them.

Jimmy Johnson was a pretty confident and even more outspoken coach....never said about his bitter rivals.

I have no issue with Johnson being excited about the win; just takes things too far. But it's obvious he hit with his target audience.

Most Coaches understand what goes around comes around.

Packers still own the Bears in every category that matters, that won't change in our lifetimes.

As of 2025, the Bears and Packers have won a combined 22 championships in the league's history.

Coach,

I got nothing but love for ya, but I can't follow you all the way down this path.  I love rivalries.  I lived out in DC during the Gibbs era...I just can't see Joe Gibbs acting this way when they played the Cowboys.  Landry that way either.  Those were intense rivalries.  Shake the man's hand the right way, win or lose.  Celebrate...heck yes.

Winning and losing with grace and sportsmanship.....Isn't this what we teach our kids in high school football?

I agree.  While I like Mr. Johnson's enthusiasm his casual use of profanity bothers me.  I was raised that such usage was frankly the sign of a weak mind, unable to come with something more appropriate for the situation.

First or last, do it with class.

Hard to believe we’re debating the use of profanity in the locker room after a huge, emotional game. This wasn’t during a postgame presser. He was with his team in their private place. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Versus an organization that has absolutely owned you for the last 30 years

So, yea, I am 1000000% ok with the leader of my beloved be authentic and if you do not think his choice to conduct the business the way he has has not led to winning 7 games in under 2 mins to go and the list goes on, the realm of changing EVERYTHING in Halas Hall then do not know what to tell you

Ben Johnson is not going to allow the Packers to do as they please like the previous regimes......

the horror

“The true test of a man’s character is what he does when no one is watching.”

― John Wooden

Or in a "private place", whatever that means in this context.  Having microphones and cameras in a locker roof hardly makes it private now, does it?

Love that John Wooden Quote

Does that include SAM GILBERT ?

Does he get a pass from Coach Wooden and how he fed him his dynasty against the NCAA rules.....

You know, Character when no one is watching ....am I right???

Like I said earlier

COMICAL and pure entertainment for me reading these "takes"

Tell me you’ve never spent time in a locker room without telling me you’ve never spent time in a locker room.

I've sat on a 5 gallon bucket in a janitor's closet right beside a locker room. Does that count? Heard quite a few Dick Dullaghan halftime 'talks'.
