This is by far the best Colt effort of the season.  Grupe just kicked a 60, yes 60, yard field goal with :47 seconds left o take a 16-15 lead.  The Seahawks only need a FG to win it with only 25 seconds left.

Seahawks win it with a 56 yard field goal.  The Seahawks didn't score a TD today.

Great Colt efffort today!

Considering the Colts were a 14 point underdog, I would agree.  Kept the Hawks out of the endzone.  But still kind of painful to watch.  Kudos to Rivers courage...but the poor guy just can't throw it very deep.  But impressive he was out there and throwing a TD at his age with just a few days of practice.

Oh, the game was a cluster bleep, and the outcome was painful.  The defense was stout and seemed to have an edge that's been missing.  Richardson has been cleared to practice, so we'll see what next Monday brings.  I believe Steichen loves Rivers too much to not start him.  And AR sure isn't going to be ready for any meaningful action this soon.  I guess there's no way that Riley Leonard gets on the field either, unless Rivers is injured or just runs out of gas.

If JT was an MVP then the wins would still be stacking up ???

You see what happens when your QB takes a big hit with playing with injuries or just poor poor play

When the QB is not a threat, you can scheme NFL D Boxes that will take away JT

Even more so when your immobile 44 year old QB can't throw it past LB depth......

JT was doing just fine with Daniel Jones at the QB, and he's not Johnny Unitas by any means.  He had some moments but faded after the Pittsburgh game.  I do agree that a downfield passing game is beneficial to a RB.

The fading may have started with the leg fracture. Wonder how this all factors into the future?  Both Jones and Colts??

that's my point,  when your QB falters, whether bc of skill or injury, a guy like JT absolutely gets affected and that is why you see QB winning MVP at the Heisman level and All Pro level / MVP etc

JT is a HOF player,  outstanding player, but he was never a serious contender for MVP and the last few weeks shows that.

100% agree with everything except the bold.  The last few weeks shows that in order to win an MVP a RB needs at least competent QB play, but to say he was never a serious contender is a bit short sighted; he was a contender, he isn't anymore, nothing more, nothing less.  Has it become extremely difficult for anyone other than a QB to win an MVP? Yes.  Impossible? I don't think it's impossible.  DeVonta Smith won a Heisman what, 3 or 4 years ago?

That could be true!  Also, the Colts are right back in QB trouble after Andrew's retirement.  It looks like there are ongoing problems with Anthony Richardson's eyesight, even though he's been cleared to practice.

Colts in tough spot for sure.  Want to make playoffs this year and continue to build winning momentum, hence the Phil signing.  But man, would love to see what Riley Leonard could be doing.

Fair, however, in year Smith won heisman, the 2nd place vote getter was QB Trevor Lawerence, I bet the Colts wish they had him over DeVonte Smith

Houston's win today knocks the Colts out of the playoffs. But they can still be a factor in the playoff picture. Gotta do a better job of keeping guys healthy, and be better preapred  when guys do get hurt, especially at the QB position.

Now let's see what Riley Leonard can do.

“Thanks Coach!”

Riley Leonard, probably

Involved in 1 play b/c Ole Man Rivers can’t throw the ball 50 yards any longer.

0/1

1 interception

oh well.

Colts are a train wreck until Ballard gets run out of town. Should have happened 4 years ago.

Fans loved seeing her on the sidelines, taking notes, on the headset, hanging out at practice and talking to the coaches. As a long time coach myself, it just felt odd all along.

Want to chat after a game about what unfolded? Ok.

Want to chat during the week about the gameplan? Ok.

Want to meet with position coaches to learn more about each position? No problem

My issue is there may be a point she has to fire people. So it all looks more like a control thing, and it will make hiring another coach more difficult.

I hear nothing but good things about her as a person, and thought it was cool she bought drinks for everyone in the bar in Germany. My criticism is her approach as an owner.

Is she close to firing Steichen? Ballard needs to first. I think Steichen showed what can be done if that roster is healthy.

Just taking a wild guess here without looking it up. Were the Texans favored by 7.5 today?

Last I saw the spread was 10.5.  And the Colts offense showed some spark today.  Leonard made some rookie mistakes, but his downfield passing was pretty good today.  I wish it had been that good last year.

Ballard should have been gone many years ago.  Steichen, it's a tossup.  The team had nothing to play for except pride today, and they came out with a good effort.
