Which Indiana high school football teams are doing the Haka, the traditional Maori ceremonial war dance, during pre-game? I believe doing the Haka is an incredibly effective way to intimidate your opponent, thereby gaining a psychological advantage before the ball is ever put into play. Please list Haka teams below.

Irvington Prep for sure

Thank you for contributing.

I haven't been able to verify yet, but I was told that Carmel, Gibson Southern and Linton all do the Haka in pre-game. I wouldn't be surprised, given the success of those programs.

Pretty sure haka is when someone from Boston spits

I think Fountain Central beats Riverton Parke if Herb would have had them do the Haka in pre-game. You might put a bug in his ear for the Sectional.

All of the teams you mentioned have 1 or more losses on the season. Did the teams they lose to also do the Haka, and if so they must have done a better job for them to lose to them? It would be interesting to see two teams performing the haka on the field at the same time. Some might call it a haka-two-a battle.

I think doing the Haka in pre-game is good for a 2-3 touchdown swing, but it can't solve all inequity. I agree with you that if all teams were serious about winning, you would see Haka vs Haka in pre-games throughout the land.

Been saying for years that the tennis team needs to step up their pre-game intimidation factor.

Northwestern did a Haka before a home sectional game vs Tipton.

Challenge on folks!

Tipton kicked their butts thoroughly that night.

Intimidated? Not one bit.

Fuse lit? Hell yes.

Pretty sure the haka is what allowed Irvington Prep to get their first ever win last Friday night. Never underestimate the haka.
