The winner will likely get Fort Wayne Carroll in the Regional. So it’s possible neither team will see Carmel.

Penn owned the DAC for the better part of 3 decades . However the last decade Penn is 24-10 vs the DAC and 7-5 in the last 5 years . A lot of people have written Penn off because CP has taken 2 in a row . As Lee Corso says , "Not so fast my friends" . Even if CP wins this year , I'm not going to sweat it as Mishawaka has beaten Penn 3 in a row before . Penn then went on to beat them 7 in a row . Should be a packed house come this Friday , Go Penn . Would love for my Kingsmen to at least get a shot at Carroll .

I think Penn's passing game if the line gives the QB times could make waves against Crown Point.  They have the big receiver, a couple of smaller, quicker ones.  Their QB is a big guy able to see the field.  The one lineman who likes to talk needs to keep his mouth shut and let his play speak for him and the team.    I think this is a Penn team that could go down state and some of their skilled people are underclassman

Good question, I think Penn will actually be better next year for reasons stated in the previous post. Penn’s defense will have to play its best game of the year to beat CP this Friday. Think it is supposed to rain Friday as well.

CP is going to come in very aggressive. They know just like all of us, Penn has only faced one true test and that was Mishawaka earlier this season. I expect them to come out and test our D down field early and to bring pressure against our QB on early downs to see if the O is ready for it. If Penn can with stand that we will be in good shape to compete. I just don't know if this team is ready for the punch in the mouth CP will provide them.

Something tells me he's working on it. I'd love to see Snider drop Warsaw and pick up Penn. I think the Snider/Penn series is good for high school football.

CP has been known to utitlize a bruising run game behind some outstanding OL.   How is the box defenders for PENN?    I would reckon that CP will want to grind and control the clock

CP will line up in their version of the Beast offense and try to overwhelm the defense at the point of attack. If Penn can stop that with their base defense, they have a great chance. But if they have to adjust somewhere to stop that, it plays right into Buzz’s hands. I’ve seen it many times. You end up spending the whole game 1 adjustment behind him. He’s as good a high school in-game coach as I’ve seen.

We could easily say they are good , but how do we really know until you face a team like CP . They have been pretty good all year , but we haven't faced a team the caliber of CP . We will find out Friday .

I see an upcoming stream on the Pennant’s YouTube channel, so it looks like it will be. Best way to follow the Kingsmen from afar. The kid who does the play by play is elite; he blows the doors off the guys who have been doing the radio show for years now.

Thought I'd try to find that channel on youtube. Came across a Penn Powderpuff football game. The QB, who's apparently the QB for the Penn flag football team, looks like she should suit up for the boys. She's got some mad skills.
