I saw where Coach Hawkins tweeted out about an important meeting tonight at Charlestown about turf, tennis courts, swimming pool, new track, new stands and press box.

Hoping that goes through for them. I know Ctown and Jeff are in the same school district is Jeff involved in these talks? just curious is all.

Any other schools close to getting turf or have had discussions about it?

I have heard West Washington and Mitchell are getting turf in the near future. Maybe as soon as next year at WW. I am sure someone here can confirm or deny.

I was told a year ago it was in the works at Mitchell. I was told 2-3 year timeline at that time.

So.. theoretically.. it could be this off season? Kind of crazy they might have it before BNL

First I've heard but hubba hubba. But thank god if true at Mitchell. Grass was higher then the ball couple weeks ago. Looked like you could turn an ankle stepping on chalk. The height difference made it look like a drop off. Haha

I worked a scrimmage at Mitchell several years back.  We had a fumble and I tossed my beanbag and lost it for a quarter and a half.

Yes, Jeff is also in the talks about getting turf field.

Jeff needs one, they're battling BNL for the worst fields in southern Indiana.

All this turf talk going on.  Call me ole fashioned but I like fresh cut grass and perfect lines fields for my football.

Game of the week is Paoli and west wash.  Winner probably takes conference.  I have been unsure of west wash the whole season, but I am going with recent history and say the rams will be the first real football they have faced.

You just don’t lose good players at this level can keep trucking.  Reality is about to set in.

speaking of reality, here’s my picks, salty as usual:

corydon...reality: eastern may go winless

btown....reality: MSC is all braves once again.  Probably the best shot taken was last week.

charlestown.....reality: Providence ain’t what they use to be

salem.....reality: lions showed something last week.  With their issues behind them (how?) they will be a force

silver creek.....reality: best scottsburg team since the 70s

mitchell.....reality: conference rushing record set tomorrow night

pc......reality: need some wounds licked

valley........reality: I really thought they would do better last week

Paoli......reality: I also like to look at coaches and glessling has a pedigree and coached big school ball

that experience will make the difference in a tight ball game

I agree Paoli will be our toughest test. Should be a good game. Do you go to any games in area at all? Just curious who you go watch. Cant wait for time!!

The TNF officials were hired for the Pekin @ Corydon game, about 1200 flags already thrown between the 2 teams in the first half... these next 2:44 of the half are on pace to take about 4 more hours. 7-8 Eastern on top.

Hell of a game so far in paoli. Paoli leads 22-18. Each team has 1 TO. Difference is Paoli getting 2s and WW isnt. WW gets the ball first
