At Rochester, you earn your stripes by going to team camp in the summer. It is a stripe that goes down the middle of the helmet. Then during the first two weeks of practice, players slowly earn their English R on the right side of the helmet and their number on the left as they stand out and work hard in practice. The coaches put them on for the players. During the season we give out little white football helmet decals for awards during the week for things such as TD's scored or blocked for, TFL, INT, etc. We even started giving awards out for guys that sprint down the field to celebrate in the end zone with the guy that scored.

Believe the last time Judson had a decal was the 70's

I'm really surprised that HH held onto an honorable mention in the Gannett/USA Today Poll. Speaks to their perceived quality of opponent, I assume. I'm all for publicity for Heritage Hills football, but within realism. I'm sure Coach Tempel has employed a few fun drills in practice this week, as to not repeat the same unforced mistakes (namely penalties, special teams, and ball protection)! Glad to see North Posey getting some attention. Gibson, meh. Let's see how they do in the PAC this season before crowning them.

Corydon JV blanked Paoli 42-0 running clock the second half. After the offensive shootout with BC week 1, I think this JV offense will score a ton this season. Freshman on this squad are really solid. The QB will likely be a sophomore starter on varsity next year.

Caston is legit, will have running clock on Warriors Triton Culver is toss up NJ will rest people early Best Winamac team since 2021, Pioneer freshman QB has been stellar. Should be interesting at Pit. Too close to call.

Thanks. For numbers on the right, decal on the left, I've been putting the non-numbers on the right just because I think it is better for this purpose.

Wabash River Conference Week 3
Richard C replied to Donnie Baker's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
FC @ RP- The Panthers may be all they are hyped up to be. The defense has given up 12 points in two games against two high ranked opponents. Offensively Billy Bettis may have been on the headset Saturday night calling all of the spread things. Earl is doing the right things at FC just not sure if he has the dudes to do it yet. Foxworthy is going to be a dang good athlete he's just young. I'll take the Panthers with a running clock. NV @ Covington- Man were we all wrong about the Trojans picking up another stat padder. I think this one shocked the whole WRC. NV just doesn't have the kids yet but I think they will get better as the season goes on. Covington will get the best of the Falcons. Give me the Trojans by 3 scores. Seeger @ Attica- Seeger is slinging the ball all over the place and doing exactly want Cronk wanted to do. They did knock the King off of his throne last week in a blow out win. Attica is just not there yet. I think they may have one or two more competitive games this season but that will be it for the Ramblers. Hats of to Coach Dean. Seeger by as many as they want. SV @ PH- This is the game of the week in the WRC. SV has the athletes to compete and they showed that winning the first quarter against Sullivan last week. I just think PH is to much for them to handle. I'll take the Rox winning this one late in the fourth by a score. -
Wabash River Conference Week 3

FC @ RP - Panthers are the best team in 1A and its not even close. If they would've done some of the spread stuff last year we would be talking about a repeat state champion. Brad Sanders is cementing himself as one of the best coaches in WRC history. He's close to being in the conversations with the likes of Herb King and Brian Moore. He has all the pieces now he just has to go out and get the job done. NV @ Covington - I would not be surprised if this is close early on but the Trojans will pull away and win by at least three scores. NV is still very young but from what I am hearing Crum is doing great things. Should be competitive for about two or three quarters but the Trojans pull away late. 38-18 Seeger @ Attica - Seeger by a bunch. The QB will throw for a million yards against poor competition all year and will struggle against teams with a heartbeat. SV @ PH - Game of the week. SV's athletes keep them in the game and it will come down to the last couple positions. I'll take PH scoring late in the fourth to win 28-21 -
NM I believe is going with a single black stripe on the white helmet. Staggered NM on left side. Numbers on right side Caston at NM. Caston probably the favorite on paper. The game most likely stays tight most of the way Triton over Culver by 3ish scores at home Jay fans will enjoy getting home early from SC. Running clock to begin 2nd half. Winamac might hang around for a bit with Pioneer. But in the end Pioneer wins very comfortably

Agreed it will be a fun season. But I don’t see a close game on this week’s slate. “Home” teams all roll -

Correct. Black facemask and no decal. Just all black.

Is this the first time NJSP has had a decal?
