  2. Pick-em selections Martinsville @ BNL The Arties are led by one of the better QBs in the Indy metro area in 6'6' jr Chase Davis and he will be throwing a lot to WR Landon Cazee who led the team in receiving yards last season. The Arties by at least three TDs. Columbus East @ Mooresville East will be starting a new QB on the road, who was the JV QB last season, and will be facing a team that had a similar record last season, although the Pioneers played in a much stronger conference being the Mid-State Conference. The Pioneers by two to three scores. 5A #9/#10 Floyd Central @ 3A #2 Gibson Southern There is nothing to go by from a performance standpoint since it is the season opener. This is a very difficult game to predict so I will be going with the home team. Jeffersonville @ Lawrence Central Bloomington South scrimmaged LC this past Friday and South coach Gabe Johnson described the Bears as big, strong, and physical with a lot of team speed. LC has Texas A&M recruit CB Errol Kerns III on defense and he may see some time on offense. This will be a very long, long night for the Red Devils and one could very well name the score. 2A #8 Providence @ New Albany Until the Bulldogs show me otherwise that they are improved, and given their recent football history, I will go with the road team. Seymour @ Greenwood I know absolutely nothing about the prospects this season for either team, so I will go with the home team.
  3. Greencastle NC ND Eastern Sullivan Linton
  4. I'll bite. I know next to nothing. Greencastle North Central North Daviess Eastern Greene Sullivan Riverton Parke.

  8. Caston over Whitko. Light at the end of the tunnel still a ways off in South Whitley. Logansport over Peru. Could get ugly. I understand the longest series in the state thing. But does this still really have to be played? Only thing keeping the TRC from a true round robin. Maconaquah over Sheridan in a somewhat close one. Chance of rain could change that though. North Miami over Northfield. Even though NM graduated 10,000 career yards of offense and 4 OL, they remain fairly old this season. Coach/AD Grant has installed a winning mindset throughout the whole athletics program. I think it’s enough to get by NF in a tight one Northwestern over Manchester. Purple Tigers went with a lot of sophomores last year. I look for them to be much improved in year 2 in the fast paced offense Pioneer over Cass in probably the best played game on the week 1 slate. Cass should have a nice year. The program that is Pioneer is a machine. Rochester over Southwood. Zebras are just bigger, faster, and stronger. SW will probably get better as the season progresses, but power L/R won’t be quite humming along for week 1.
  9. I have the exact same picks this week. Hoping the Cavs can pull what would be the upset
  10. Hope you have a speedy recovery!
  11. Suck it up. Just kidding. I'm recovering from a bout of appendicitis, as well. Although being in Boston, I doubt I'll get to many Patriots' games this year either!
  12. Hoosier Hills Conference Bedford North Lawrence Columbus East Floyd Central Jeffersonville New Albany Seymour Which is for home? White or green?
  13. Terry Peebles is the better coach and it isn't close.
  14. How sad is it that I picked every HHC team to lose? To be fair, I know very little about these teams. I obviously know FC well and if they were at home, I would’ve picked them. But a road game at G.S. is going to be extremely tough.
  15. Martinsville at BNL- Martinsville Columbus East at Mooresville Mooresville 5A #9/#10 Floyd Central at 3A #2 Gibson Southern Gibson Southern Jeffersonville at Lawrence Central LC 2A #8 Providence at New Albany Prov Seymour at Greenwood Greenwood
  16. Cloverdale NC ND EG Sullivan RP
  17. Someone started a nice SW conference pick'em if anyone is interested.
  18. Week 1 Pick'em! I may be the only one participating so winner get a nice prize. After this week, I'll use the point spread posted on John Harrell. Greencastle at Cloverdale North Central at North Vermillion North Daviess at Washington Pike Central at Eastern Greene Sullivan at North Knox Bonus Game of thr Week: Linton vs Riverton Parke
  19. LOVE ME SOME WRC FOOTBALL. It will be different this year without King and Crabtree. Attica @ Faith - Faith Christian starts the year with a win. They are much improved from the past two years. Attica will be in this game until the end but the Eagles pull away late. 26-21 Carroll @ Seeger - Cronk gets to start his head coaching career with a tough win. Still a team I don't know a whole lot about but I know they have good athletes. Seeger 35-28 Covington @ Tri County - Does tri county have a team? I thought I heard they went to 8 man? Game or no game Covington wins easily. 60-0 Cville @ PH - I've heard Cville is much improved this year and we seem to think the same about the Wolves. I'll take PH in a close one. Game will be over soon as both teams will run the ball. 28-20 North Central @ NV - North Central is getting some early season recognition as I believe they are ranked 12th. NC does whatever they want against the Falcons. RP vs Linton - Now this is what I'm talking about! This is will a great test early on for both teams. I will have to lean towards Linton but I love RP taking this game. It will only prepare them for later success. Linton 35-24 Southmont @ FC - FC biggest was losing Herb King. Long long season for the Mustangs. Mounties by as much as they want West Vigo @ SV - Crabtree and the Vikings will keep this close. Both team will be better then they were last year. I'll take the Vikings 20-14 This weeks wildcard matchup is Delphi @ Benton Central - The Bison are looking tough this year. They return most of their team from last season and the addition of Coach King makes this team dangerous. Both team have new coaches and I'm picking the HOFer. Rumor is that his H back / tight end is a D1 caliber of athlete. Scary to give him too many weapons. Look for the Bison to score in bunches this season BC 28-14
  20. A substantial amount of my earnings gets "donated" to the Community Schools of Frankfort every year. Let their athletic department support itself.
  21. New coach, Kevin Tempel ... classmate of mine. Tyce Winchell is a name to watch. QB/RB/DB and Micah Toler at WR.
  22. This is the kind of feedback I need. It's difficult to keep track of of all teams around the state. If the talent is there, Todd Wilkerson seems to know how to get the most of it. But in small town, run on talent can by cyclical.
  23. Any TRC fans still on here? Hoping for a healthy season for every team this year. Who ya got Week 1? Friday, Aug. 21 Caston at Whitko, 7 pm Logansport at Peru, 7 pm Maconaquah at Sheridan, 7 pm Northfield at North Miami, 7 pm Northwestern at Manchester ©, 7 pm Pioneer at Cass, 7 pm Southwood at Rochester ©, 7 pm
