Not to sound boastful by any means—but I’m afraid that matchup may be the first, legitimately tough, opponent that Brownstown faces this season. I really hope I’m wrong on the above prediction too. But I also agree that should it happen, it would be a great game.

That's no fun whatsoever. Hopefully they get things figured out. That type of play doesn't fit the HNAC.

Week 5 Picks Columbus East (2-2, 1-0 HHC) at New Albany (1-3, 0-1 HHC): The Olympians lead the all-time series with the Bulldogs 29-6. East has won the last four and 23 of the last 24. East has also won the last 12 games at New Albany with the last loss there being in 2002. This will be the closest game of the three. I have East by two to three TDs. Jeffersonville (1-3, 1-1 HHC) at 5A #5/#6 Floyd Central (4-0, 1-0 HHC): The Highlanders took the lead in the series over the Red Devils last year which was the first time since 1981. Jeff led it 24-10 after their game in 2009 but Floyd Central has won six straight and 18 of the last 21 to take a 28-27 lead. Floyd Central wins by at least 35 here. Cue the running clock. Seymour (0-4, 0-3 HHC) at BNL (3-1, 2-0 HHC): This has been a pretty even series lately with the Stars and Owls splitting the last 12 matchups with six wins apiece. Seymour leads the overall series 26-25 but BNL will look to win consecutive games for the first time since 2018 and 2019. I don’t foresee them having any trouble doing so. A running clock wouldn’t surprise me.

Anyone hear any chatter about moving KO times back due to the heat?

Constant cheap shots throughout... hitting kids in the back during, after and away from the play, qb shoves one of our kids our kid turns around and their qb falls to the ground like he got sniped, constant blatant holds, one of the most malicious intentional face masks Ive ever seen in any game. Good Stuff. Far worse than the normal expectations from playing Winamac.

in the last several years we have picked up large school freshman teams to play our jv in open weeks...gibson southern bloomington south i believe...evansville central...evansville memorial...so, they have been really good games!

North Knox did have freshman teams every year up until about 1995-96 or so...

If it helps anyones weekly picks...i believe North Central starting qb will not be playing this week because he was thrown out of Cloverdale game...just fyi!

I predicted at the beginning of the season that no team will come within double digits of the Irish during the regular season. We'll see how it plays out. I'd actually guarantee a national title if Price had stayed. It's crime that Love and Price couldn't showcase themselves in the playoffs last season.

His father was a beast of a running back and I believe linebacker -- everyone knows Coach G loved that 4/4 Stack! Speaks volumes about Cade's ability, work ethic, and character. Go Vikings (except Week 8)!

no...our freshman all play on the jv team we have 12 freshman on our roster...and 14 sophomores...we have 2 sophomores that play varsity only...so we have 24 on our jv team of sophomores and freshman...in years past if we have allowed junior who has never played before some jv time...but, 99% it is only freshman and sophomores!

Concordia @ Northrop- Cadets attempted to put points on the board last week, good thing for them with the playoffs hope springs eternal. Bruins put the area on notice last week and are gearing up for a collision with Carroll…they win by 35 Dwenger @ Homestead- “you see rock, he’s not a machine, he’s a man,” Saints showed their mortality last week and sparty would be wise to dissect n replicate that game film. They finally show the city 6A programs do 6A things..Spartans by 7 Luers @ Northside- keep the main things the main things as the new head coach said, appearing as if it was an embattled franchise during an NFL presser..penalties have been their main thing for awhile now and that lets the Knights remain close through half..then they just throw it up to the dynamo Wr..Legends by 11 Snider @ Carroll- one of the best running backs to ever come through sni high will see this Friday as an epitome of his tenure with the Panthers..no matter what he does, he can’t force his team to make tackles..Dinan shows no mercy with his former co worker and sweeps the leg..over..and over..Chargers win by 35.. Wayne @ Southside- kudos to the Archers for showing they own Calhoun..that rb they have may be the best in the city..Generals only shot is to put their D1 DE in the backfield and let him wreak havoc..if I gotta help game plan coach, you’ve already lost..Archers by 8..
