Just to let everyone know, we are planning some major site maintenance this week. Don't be surprised if TGD goes down at some point. We will try to get everything done and back up within 24 hours, but because of the scale of the maintenance it may take longer. Now, there are some good things that will come from this... This should eliminate some longstanding errors which new users have been experiencing when trying to register. It should also result in a more stable forum backend which means a better overall user experience for everyone (much less downtime in the future). North Judson over Culver 55-6 - There’s a lot of speed wearing the blue and gold As a fan, I came away disappointed in the Warriors this past Friday. Not in the score, not even in the 4 turnovers in the first handful of plays, but the chippiness as LD alluded to. I’m not sure if it was frustration boiling over or what. I do know it’s uncharacteristic for the program. As for the game in Royal Center, the defensive backfield better heal up or Popejoy could have a field day. I always look forward to the gas station chicken in Royal Center. Caston over South Central by about however many they want. Winamac over Triton 40-14 before the Warrior bowl next week Liberty Field remains by far my favorite place to catch a high school football game in the area. Really cool atmosphere. The student section and cheerleaders look like they have a great time. The lawn chairs setup around the north end of the track is great. The food vendors.. The loud music…it all makes for an experience you don’t see many other places. You can tell football means a ton to the community, and they certainly have a program they can be proud of!

@ptr I’ve been looking at the HHC teams’ schedules as well as Bloomington South’s to try and figure out how the conference schedule could look next year. The easy fix would be to plug Bloomington South into the spot Madison once occupied in the HHC schedule. This would ensure all teams get three home games and three road games in conference play. Here’s what that would look like. Potential 2027 Bloomington South Schedule Week 1: Bloomington North Week 2: Martinsville Week 3: at Floyd Central Week 4: Jeffersonville Week 5: Greenfield-Central Week 6: at New Albany Week 7: Columbus East Week 8: at BNL Week 9: Seymour This would give South six home games and three road games. Terre Haute North, Muncie Central, Columbus North, Ironton (OH), Brebeuf Jesuit, and Center Grove would all be dropped from the schedule as those games are during the weeks South would be playing HHC teams. However, I could easily see Greenfield-Central being dropped and Columbus North being moved up from week 6 to week 5 to take their place. With Columbus North being independent and with this being a classic rivalry, it would make logical sense. In doing so, the game would be at Columbus North next year since South is hosting them this year. This would mean South would have five home games and four road games instead. If South plugs into Madison’s old spot on the HHC schedule then BNL will be removing Scottsburg from their schedule in week 8, Columbus East will be removing Chatard in week 7, Floyd Central will be removing Silver Creek in week 3, Jeffersonville will be removing Kokomo in week 4, New Albany will be removing Silver Creek in week 6, and Seymour will be removing Crispus Attucks in week 9. Considering the travel distances or the outmatched nature of most of these games, I think the HHC teams would be willing to drop these teams. The only exception would be New Albany having to give up Silver Creek, but that could easily be fixed with moving that game to week 3. Floyd Central would be giving up Silver Creek that week to make room for Bloomington South, and it would be more advantageous for New Albany to remove Brownstown Central from that week and play Silver Creek instead. Doing so would mean New Albany would go from a five home and four away game split to a four home and five away game split. Silver Creek would then need to find a week 6 replacement and would have two HHC options if BNL would be willing to drop Jennings County or if Jeffersonville would be willing to drop Connersville. Given the distance between Jeff and Connersville, as well as the regional rivalry (per se) of Jeff and Silver Creek, I think the latter of the two options makes the most sense. The only hang up would be that the series was played from 2021 through 2024 before being dropped. It seemed to be a decent series as the first three games were decided by 14 points or less before Jeff crushed them in 2024. Jeff won 3 of the 4 games so I don’t if this led to the series ending.

Maconaquah 34-13 over Peru Northfield 27-14 over Manchester Rochester over Cass 24-16 Wabash over Southwood 26-20 Northwestern 55-6 over Whitko I could be talked into any of those middle 3 games going the other way. Will be interesting to see how Wabash adjusts to blocking up front with more guys on the field to account for. They’ve put up some pretty decent scores in the 8man games they’ve played…albeit against some questionable competition. Mac looks like the class of the conference as was probably expected. Northwestern and Rochester are very much in the hunt while doing it 2 very different ways

They were broke before that. It’s been a pattern for sometime. In four of their losses last year they blew the lead late. The Cleveland loss was the first one. Even in the Chicago game they won, they blew the lead and were just one play away from losing that one. They even blew a decent lead in the game they tied with the Cowboys. All that said, that playoff game may loom as a large cloud over this season. A coach only has a short window to succeed before losing the locker room.

Covington @ South Vermillion - The Mildcats win by as much as they want. I'm hearing their qb is the real deal in the running game. Have not seen him in person yet. I don't see Covington's problems being fixed anytime soon. Lowish numbers all across the board. When will they realize small 1a programs cannot have three fall sports for the boys. FC @ Attica - I have also heard the Ramblers are low on numbers. That will not matter because they will play hard the whole time. Not sure if their problems will leave anytime soon either. Heard they had to cancel the junior high season due to numbers. Hopefully Dean can get some more kids soon. North Vermillion @ RP - I love what Crum is doing at NV. This time next year this group will be clicking and scoring a lot of points. Hinchee is the second best thrower. Man he throws a good ball. Up front won't be able to hang with those Panthers. The Panthers will not be tested until at least semi state. Too big and too strong and too fast. RP 63 NV 6 Parke Heritage @ Seeger - Won't be as close as some of you may think. Seeger is much better than the Wolves. The qb will throw all over them and #2 will have a big game receiving. Pats take this one 35-14
