  1. Hey there! I'm Andrew Marcum, and I've been crunching numbers as a high school football statistician in Ohio for over 15 years. Recently, my go-to stat software was discontinued, leaving me without a reliable solution to record stats. I tried all the options available, and none of them met my expectations. So, what did I do? I got to work, talked to other statisticians, and built my own solution. Allow me to introduce you to PressBox Football Stats, my brainchild designed and tested by statisticians like me, for you. Launching this summer on iOS and Android, it's the ultimate game-day companion. Not only does it track stats like a pro, but it's packed with tons of great features including: - Live GameCast with full stats and play-by-play for fans and media to follow along - Fan notifications at key moments throughout their favorite teams' games - Pre-loading your desired media contacts for instant report-outs after the game - Official MaxPreps Xport Enabled Stat Partner To learn more, visit https://www.pressboxstats.com/. If you have questions or want to know what else PressBox Stats can do for you, shoot me a message! Will you help me spread the word and make sure coaches across the nation have the tools they need for accurate stat recording? Together, we can ensure Friday nights in press boxes across the country are more enjoyable than ever.

  2. In that situation, If I am student A, I would look for a smaller school in my area and go there. If you are second string at a Penn size school you will likely start at a 2 or 3A school. Depth at those levels hurts. Which then turns you into Student B, and the cycle continues.

  3. It was 12 years ago today that the GID suffered a devastating blow from which many thought it would never recover. The founder and guiding spirit of the forum, Tim Adams, passed away suddenly. Tim was a long time coach, and a tireless promoter of Indiana high school football. I consider myself very fortunate to have gotten to know him and call him a good friend. I know many of the people on the forum now joined after Tim passed, and they know him only by the occasional references on here. Perhaps others who knew him might share some of their recollections of this very good man.

  6. are we really going to sit here and act like crown point should have been on the same field as ben davis? we could have put together a team of gid members and had the same outcome as that game

  7. had to go back a little bit for entertainment purposes there are not 10 teams capable of winning 6a this year, or any year in the past 2 decades. there are at most like 4 teams a year in the conversation.

  8. Well, based on logic if Jason Simmons and Tom Allen can’t win at Ben Davis but are D1 quality the only conclusion is that Russ Mann is the next coming of Bill Belichick.

  9. Not deflecting at all. Your theory had to be the first thing on his mind when selecting the Giants....I'm sure all coaches "drink your theories like Kool-Aid". Are you going to try and convince us that BD doesn't have a rich history and culture for football, it doesn't have a sustained feeder system, that BDHS was void of excellent coaches, that awesome facilities doesn't exist, that Mann's development as a coach didn't occur through some excellent programs, etc? If its just about numbers only, then why did the program go 31-28 over the 5 years prior? Weren't there enough kids on the roster?

  10. Hard to believe it has been 14 years now. Anyone still in contact with Mrs. T.A.? How is she doing?

  11. Illiana Christian’s enrollment was 544. The cutoff between 2A and 3A was 513, so they would be 3A.

  12. Our crew made a rare trip to central Indiana during the regular season one year to work Fishers @ Avon. Dave Shelbourne, formerly at Highland, was coaching Avon and Rick Wimmer, formerly of Merrillville, was coaching Fishers. When TA found out we were coming, he got all excited and promised to come over and see us. We had a great time chatting before the game. This picture of the coin toss be fore the game was taken by TA himself.
