  1. As a teacher, what amazes me (not trying to be funny here, just the crazy truth) is students will go through all these hoops to create something like this, but asking them to do a simple worksheet for a participation score is like pulling teeth.

  2. It's like the folks you catch with academic misconduct. They put more effort into cheating, working to not get caught, and then working to provide denial when they get caught, that if they'd just expended the same energy on the assignment, they would have gotten an A.

  5. My thought is like how Qb’s move into a new coach/scheme, learn and come out much better. Kind of like Darnold this year. Polish up a bit. Learn some new things. Back out for a TRUE OC job next cycle.

  10. His interview with Carmen and Jurko was pretty good. Jurko brought up the fact the Bears went very light in Camp and thought that was a bad idea by Flus. Johnson believes in going live in Camp so the guys are ready to be hit. He firmly believed Detroit had good offensive YAC because of allowing physicality in their practices. Of course, being an analytics guy he said they would rely on sports science data to determine when to go live in Camp. You can tell he's an extremely intelligent guy. I believe he majored in mathematics at UNC. His brother is an MIT grad.

  11. Just as Gibson was for a number of years - Jasper is/has been the "sleeping giant" in terms of football (great socioeconomic culture, great people/resources, pricey housing (see socioeconomics) , etc... In a weird twist of fate - it was Nick Hart that brought Gibson into the limelight - and Jasper appears to be going with (younger? older?) brother Derrick to resurrect their program.

  12. Let's frame it like this...if Memorial and Gibson Southern and Mater Dei can throw it around year after year....Jasper won't have an issue. To read this thread one would think the Jasper kids have some genetic defect that won't allow them to throw or catch a football. NC isn't like coaching at an Indiana P&P let's put it that way.

  15. sadly this has been around schools last few years nation wide For all that is good about technology......then this is the other side of the coin This is not judgement on Luers situation, I will wait to the final outcomes there, but sadly, kids know how to do this sort of stuff and with AI its even scarier how easy it is based on meetings/articles I have been part of or seen

  18. Pretty good Irish representation on both sides of the ball. BTW, I received good news from my cardiologist today. It seems some tests I've had to endure have paid off and I'm relatively heart healthy for a person of my age. I guess God isn't ready for me yet.

  20. Absolutely Coach Gilbert spearheaded this new recogniztion a few years ago when he was at Westfield Great stuff and tremenndous list of awesome things our football teams/players have done in their respective communities I know when I am at the state board meetings going on almost a decade and half, they have made sure to recognzie folks who are going above and beyond and not pigging back on Eagle Scout or other service club type things. Good Stuff

  21. Thanks for posting this. It helps to remind us that, while the vast majority of these kids will not go on to play football at a higher level, they are certainly poised to be good members of the community at higher levels.

  22. Isn’t this infringing on politics? Majority of voters in Carmel want something, they elect the politicians who choose where the money goes. Not trying to get into a pissing match, but this guy is bitching to bitch.
