  1. (the) Numbering exception comes into play then with THAT positioning with regards to the #13 player as described. 50-79
  2. Eastside is NO JOKE in NE 2A... Just Sayin
  3. In my years of FB. I have only had ONE game that this was a VIABLE option. And it was basically ONE team that was the issue. It was WAAAAY more than a FB game that was the issue, and the culmination of issues far beyond sports.
  4. @SoIndRef 18 would be ineligible by number if the left tackle was 50-79. 13 still eligible.
  5. There are a number of officials on this site that have collegiate experience with current and past. Not sure what the question or concerns are though
  6. We had a local FW crew go up there (Whiting) a decade or so ago for a Saturday night Semi-State game. All other Semi-States were played on Friday night. Including ours. As I sat comfortably in my home, sipping on numerous cold Coors Lights watching on IHSAATV, laughing....The BLIZZARD that was engulfing the field at Whiting was astonishing! Then it dawned on me; What about the winds coming off of Lake Michigan? Being the knucklehead that I am, I got MY come-uppance the next year @ Indy Brebeuf when Gibson Southern played them on a Saturday and it was at least -20F by the time we started the 2nd half. There wasn't anyone in the stands, sidelines to be seen. GS absolutely was driven out of anything they could do throwing the ball by the conditions. To this day, I still feel the bone-chilling temperatures in my heart. UGH! Karma is a MOFO.
  7. @23andCounting I absolutely NEED to get my ass to Electric Works. I've posted and told him that I would. Then as usual, haven't gone. There's NO excuse for that on my part.
  8. Pizza King here in Indiana is the clear winner! But I have to mortgage my home each time I get it, to afford that damned Royal Feast. It reminds me so much of Talylana's back in Saint Louis. Same as with the double crust deep dish pizza here in FW at Oley's on US 24.... Gonna get this ABSOLUTELY, this week then look at my bank account, the next day. 😗
  9. @Sparty I'll take Rutgers/Maryland/Purdue/Indiana in the Big10. Kentucky/Vandy/Mississippi State AND (sadly my birthplace) Missouri in the SEC.
  10. No problem, other that THIS guy not being here err day to keep up. Sorry @ Sparty Its been a hectic week for me....
  11. Clemson... I can't get with Dabo on this, honestly
  12. I am thinking that you know EXACTLY what I am referring to....
  13. I just had a rural 3A school drop an intra-county school (2A) to schedule a FW powerhouse (5A) for next year in Week One. I'm confused at the decision. Though it makes sense for the rural 3A school, competition-wise. Not so sure about the 5A school, unless they just "settled" on a matchup to round out their schedule. Sometimes, these 5A's should look out of state and see what's open....just sayin.
  14. Sorry if I have stoked the fire on Dabo. I just don't have the same belief in his understanding of "times are a changin" that others think.
  15. The ACC is trash when it comes to College FB. They have individual players, but as a conference its just 'existing' at his time and waiting on Basketball season to begin.
  16. Muda, I'm just sayin... And yes I agree about too much being put on "kids". But unfortunately THIS is exactly that... A forum about HS Football in Indiana.
  17. Not if he is against NIL.... He becomes Maryland/Rutgers in the Big10 hierarchy of FB.
  18. I've caught HELL on here a few times, berating Dabo and his antics and attitude about "student-athletes". To me he seems to be the one of last of the DINOSAURS in collegiate athletics leading a top-tier team. The ACC is a middling conference that he dominates. Does anyone actually think that he'd be as successful in the BiG10 or SEC?
  19. As an aside. What was the differential in the South Adams playoff game this past year at Tri? I am not sure if it was 35 points, but it was substantial. With saying that, I'm all for the 35 point lead being the determinant at halftime to run the clock. This is perhaps the only time that in a playoff situation that the "running clock" coukd have been a detriment to a teams comeback.
  20. I stayed in a Holiday Inn recently....😆
  21. Let me say that Guerin Catholic's field (turf) is Absolutely IMMACULATE! Should keep natural grass. I'm ALL for it!
  22. According to a GID contributor. Blackhawk is now playing at Zollner Stadium (Concordia) which is turf. Also, Snider plays at Spuller Stadium (Northrop)..Turf. Concord is playing at Mishawaka (turf) and Elkhart (turf), while the "Jake" gets refurbished with turf.
  23. Coach Seiss is fantastic, and an absolute benefit to IN HS Football. I would not ever say anything disparaging about the things he has brought to the "game". This also goes with Coach Busea at Crown Point! These are programs that are "Region based" and on the cusp of breaking out towards a State Finals... If not a State Championship in the ensuing years. Anyone who is a Northerner would love for a Championship in the top 2 Classes to head beyond US24 (Fort Wayne also) .... Let's be honest. As an official, I don't care who wins. As a fan, I moved and live above US24. I delve into the Indy Area on a frequent basis to officiate. I just want and need the programs in the "North" to show on a consistent basis, that they are capable of competing at the highest of levels within IN HS Football. In all actuality, It kind of harkens to the SEC/Big 10 issues of the past 10+ years. At this point the Big 10 has figured things out, and are now absolutely on par...if not better than the SEC. I can easily see that happening within IN HS Football soon.
  24. POP-UP KICK RULES 2-24-10 (NEW); 6-1-11 (NEW); 6-1 PENALTY (NEW)  A pop-up kick is a free kick in which the kicker drives the ball immediately to the ground, the ball strikes the ground once and goes into the air in the manner of a ball kicked directly off the tee. Such kicks will be penalized as a dead-ball foul. This has been in place since 2017.
  25. IF in fact it "was" a pop-up kick...then it was a botched call by the officiating crew! That is blatantly illegal... its, NOT your ball its a penalty against the Railroaders. Just sayin
