I spent an entire 8th grade halftime trying explain to a MS coach why you can’t line both the slot and the end on the LOS and they’re both eligible. He kept telling his slot is always eligible, and I could not make him understand he was neither an end or a back. The struggle is real.

Javier Milei Ended a DC-Sized Deficit in...Nine Weeks
Impartial_Observer replied to Muda69's topic in OOB v2.0's OOB Forum
I’ve never been particularly fired up about term limits but it may be the only answer. One thing I haven’t understood thru most of my adult life, congress routinely scores somewhere just below tooth infections and above cancer on the likability scale. Everyone hates congress but continues to send their rep and senators back to Washington. We get the government we deserve, good and hard. -

You seem to be under the misguided notion that US politicians have either the balls or the inclination to fix anything. -

If it fits the narrative it’s way to wall coverage including the memorials, if not move along nothing to see here. It’s so predictable it’s laughable. -

Seymour will be 6A within the next two cycles. And it has nothing to do with actual growth. -
@EasyEJay this is the big issue I see for IU. The natives have been clamoring for an “IU guy”, well they got him…….now what? After and endless parade of throw away coaches and poor hires, perhaps we need to look more closely at the people making the hires. IU has been irrelevant big time college sports for years, judging from recent history if you’re an IU fan, I’d get used to it.

I’ve paid zero attention to this story, I don’t know any of the particulars, nor do I care to. But the answer to anything changing is no, the knee jerk reaction is always the same, punish law abiding gun owners. Guns are a symptom of much larger societal problems, we’ve seen, guns (guns are easy, but also against public opinion can be difficult to obtain), vehicles, bladed tools, etc. Why don’t we look at what causes people to do such heinous acts? Guns are nothing new, guns have been around, how do we go from many students having shotguns and rifles in the school parking lot and nary a negligent discharge, to what we have today? -
It was always my understanding that when they changed to the current format, the scrimmage was a concession. The plan was eventually it would go away and we would be back to a 10 game schedule. Then the argument was, everyone gets in we’re already playing 10 games. I tend to agree with @JQWLthe scrimmage has outlived its usefulness, given the current summer rules. That being said man, starting games second Friday in August seems early.

So smacking teenage girls’ asses is unacceptable…..I was not aware, no one explained that to me when I was hired….and after she asked him to stop….be a man! -
As I stated I wish I could remember where and by whom.

Bob I specifically asked the question when the nomenclature was changed from “not enough guys on the line”, to “five guys in the backfield”, what we do with the slot in no man’s land. I was told if he’s not on the line he’s in the backfield. My point was exactly what you posted. I would LOVE to know specifically who and where it was addressed. Also along these same line, last year was somewhat eye opening for me, for the first time in many years I was no longer a crew chief. I was AMAZED at the drop off in the amount of pertinent information I no longer received from North Meridian in terms of rulings and the normal communications we receive. Now I totally understand when guys show up at meetings and say I never heard that.

After the change in the requirements for lineman, I was under the impression if they weren’t on the line, they were in the backfield.

Oddly enough Seymour WBK has only had three HC’s in its 53 year history, none of which had ties to the program, though. Like Munster it’s somewhat rare to have such longevity in coaching positions. -
Perhaps he was on a “hunting trip”, I seem to recall one of his predecessors that had a penchant for that sort of thing when he was a little camera shy.

Darwin wins again, there will be no procreation!

Sadly what appeared to be a promising night for IO saw Mrs IO say IU sucked in a rather pissy tone and said I’m going to bed…….and here I sit opining to you schleps!

A pet peeve of mine, people complaining about the cost of admission for HS sports. Even at 10 bucks for a regional game, I could drive within an hour of my compound in northern Jackson County and for the grand sum of 10 bucks I can be entertained for a couple of hours by a quality athletic event. Think big picture, you’re a wrestling, swimming, tennis, golf, baseball, …….. fan, the same applies. What’s it going to cost you to go to an IU game? Colts, Pacers, Indians, …….? And your admission is going back to the student athletes. Yes I understand at the regional level and beyond the money goes to the IHSAA, c’mon man.

Hopefully Taylor Swift won’t be a fan of any team that may be flagged.

We recently had our (Softball) winter clinic and HOF inductions along with Baseball in Indy. This was a hot topic in several discussions…….you’ll forgive me if I take a wait and see attitude…… As @Coach_K pointed out it’s a long process just to get to the point of making the proposal to the committee. And I know this will come as a shock to some of you, but politics and egos come into play as well. And when it comes to a dick measuring contest, the dude who makes the rules usually wins. Z

For reference, heard on the radio today the Marine Corps’ budget for FY23 was 67 billion. -
At what point in any of the training you’ve had did they talk about when a good time to be flashing your weapon would be? A simple yes would have sufficed. Look I went to school with Jim, I know him well, and personally I like him, did he intend any ill will towards the students, no. Was it another in an endless line of bad decisions, yes.

It’s an interesting and as I stated it’s either the best pizza or the worst you ever ate. I got one in Knightstown one time and could get two pieces choked down. Rumor has it it’s dependent upon which brother’s line your franchise came from. Plainfield still had the train in there last time I was in there. I ate at another one that had a train as well, but I can’t remember where. Some have been around long enough to remember the GID Publicity Tour back in 05, the Seymour stop was at Pizza Palace, which at that time was no longer using Pizza King products, but makes a similar style pie. TA was there, Paul Condry, they were selling copies of the GID.
